On Wednesday night, the San Antonio Spurs were able to defeat the Dallas Mavericks 109-103 to take a 3-2 lead in their quarterfinal series. Both teams protected the ball well in the game, but the Spurs were just a bit better by only turning it over five times.
Despite the close score, the Spurs looked in control of the game pretty much the whole night. They were up by nine points at the half, and then were able to hold off the Mavs the rest of the way before winning the game by six points.
Tiago Splitter had his best game of the series for the Spurs by making seven of his 10 field goal attempts and he ended up with 17 points, 12 rebounds and five assists in the win.
