Due to upcoming holiday, our Friday Round-Up is being up to Thursday this week. Thanks to the Christmas Break, we have had limited action since last week’s Round-Up. Last night was the return to the ice for almost all the teams, and we saw some teams light up the scoreboard. Boston didn’t miss a beat as they took down the Sabres, the Penguins crushed the Isles in New York with a big 7-0 win, and the Knights fell to the Ducks after Anaheim’s four goal opening period. Now let’s take a look at some more trends that have been making some money.

Another great week in the greatest sport on Earth. And that means it’s time for another Friday Round-up. As we look back on the week that was, we saw the Blues move on from their bench boss, while the Caps are moving to Virginia, and the Jets lost their leading goal scorer in Kyle Connor for approximately two months as he is out with a knee injury. The Penguins and Canadiens needed a 12-round shootout to determine the winner back on Wednesday night, as Jansen Hankins finally won it for Pittsburgh. In this week’s roundup, we have three team trends that have been money makers, and we discuss an absolute mess of a division.

As teams near 30 games played on the year, it is time for us to take a look at who has had frequent trips to either side of the game total. Overall, no team has hit the over more than the New Jersey Devils, as they have seen the over hit in 2/3rds of their contests. On the other side, the two Pennsylvania teams have had the under frequent in the majority of their games, with a combined 34 under totals in 56 games. Let’s take a look at where teams have been over the last 10 games and see where you should be putting your money.

Another great week of hockey is behind us, and it is time for another edition of our Friday Round-Up series. Last night we saw the Sharks somehow score six goals on the road while the Isles broke out and notched seven tallies against the Blue Jackets. Dallas won in a shootout, as Scott Wedgewood stopped the Great 8’s attempt, and the Flyers just keep rolling after they beat the Yotes, 4-1. New week, developed trends, let’s take a look at where the money is being made around the league.

by Ryan Cobbett - 12/7/2023
Last week, we analyzed the teams on either side of the game total, now it is time to see who is covering and who is not. So far, the Flyers and Jets have had the most success at covering the puck-line this season, while no team has more wins than the Rangers. We have also had a shift in our basement dwellers as the Blackhawks are now the worst team in the league as the Sharks now hold a two-point advantage over Chicago. After a rather quiet Wednesday night, it is time to take a look at where we are making our money around the league.

Another great week of hockey is behind us and as we turn our attention to the weekend, it is time for another edition of our Friday Roundup. Perhaps in no bigger news, Corey Perry has been cut by the Blackhawks due to workplace conduct, Minnesota’s coaching change has had an immediate impact, and the Blues continue to dominate at home. With all that said, let’s turn out attention to four money-making trends that have surfaced in today’s NHL.

Time for our next look at who has been on either side of the game totals over the last 10 games. This article will feature 10 teams, as there is a five-way tie for the highest Over percentage and a four-way tie for the second highest Under percentage. Of the 10 teams, there is only one with a percentage higher than 70%. Let’s take a look at where the money is being made if you are playing the game total.

by Ryan Cobbett - 11/24/2023
We are now nearing the end of the second calendar month of the season, and the separation within the divisions contenders and basement dwellers are starting to take shape. Boston has yet to lose a home game in regulation, the Kings have not lost a single away game so far, and the Blue Jackets have lost nine in a row. Vancouver still showcases four players in the top 15 in the league in points, and both Bruins goaltenders rank in the top 10 in almost all major goalie categories.

Another Friday dawn is upon us, and that means we are here for another edition of our NHL Friday Roundup. In this article we will go over four new trends that have presented themselves, and with that, four new teams we have yet to mention in our Roundup series. Since last Friday, we have had our first coach firing as Edmonton jettisoned Jay Woodcroft as they try to keep their playoff hopes afloat. The Rangers are for real and should be considered as a candidate to hoist Stanley (+1100 on DraftKings). Minnesota’s goalie issues have been overshadowed by the Oilers issues, but the Wild are struggling to win games due to their poor netminding. Now let’s take a look at some new trends that are in the works around the league.

We are just under 20 games into the season, and already there have been some major shakeups compared to offseason thinking. Edmonton was the first to fire their coach… who would’ve thought? But the Oilers are 2-0 under their new leader. The Canucks have three guys tied for the team lead in points with 26, and yes that also leads the league. Vancouver is now tied with the reigning Vegas Golden Knights atop the Pacific Division thanks to their three-headed offensive monster and their dominating netminder.

It’s time for another NHL Friday roundup. Last week we thought the Sharks were doomed, but don’t look now but San Jose has now won back-to-back games and no longer sit alone at the bottom of the league standings as Edmonton finds themselves in a peculiar spot with just five points thus far. After being mentioned in last week’s article, Edmonton went 0-3 with a -8 goal-differential this last week and now sit at 2-9-1. I hope you have caught on by now, but the Canucks are a good team that may end up being great. Since last week’s mention, they are 3-0 ATS, still lead the league in goals, and have allowed the second least number of goals this season. I would still endorse fading Edmonton, while backing Vancouver let’s take a look at four more notable betting trends for the week ahead.

by Ryan Cobbett - 11/8/2023
As we start another week filled with hockey, let’s take a look at some trends that have been established through teams’ first 10-12 games. Vegas and Vancouver, Dallas and Colorado, NYR and New Jersey, and Boston and Detroit find themselves at the top of their respective divisions at this point in the season, while teams like San Jose, Edmonton, and Calgary could not have imagined a worse start. The Oilers might be bad, but even I say that with a laugh because surely Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl figure it out… right?

As we enter the second month of the season, it is time to take our first deep dive into some betting trends that were established through the first nine or 10 games each team has played. Last night’s slate gave us fans a reminder on just how intensely competitive this sport is, even in the regular season. Boston blew a 2-0 lead in all of five minutes before winning in a shootout over division opponent Toronto, Dallas went into Edmonton and beat the (not so?) high-flying Oilers with backup netminder Scott Wedgewood, and the Rangers beat Carolina thanks to a late goal by Will Cuylle.
