2 picks - World Cup Qualifying - Africa - lines from FanDuel as of 11:10 AM ET
3-Unit Play. 'Over' 2.5 (-136) Mali at Chad (12 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8)
We lay the price here to have over 2.5 goals but that is why I am keeping the rating low at 3 units here. I do not want to get burned with over 3.5 goals if the match lands on exactly 3 goals although I am fully expecting 4 or more goals here. Mali is a massive 1.75-goal favorite here and I am looking for a 3-1 type of match. Chad has scored a goal in 3 straight matches but also has allowed an average of 3 goals over its last 6 matches. Mali will be ready after a 1-0 loss to Ghana. Prior to that defeat they were on a 3-1 run with 2 draws in last 6 matches and in those 3 wins they scored an average of 4 goals! The meeting in November between these clubs finished a 3-1 Mali win and this one should be similar. 3* OVER 2.5 (-136) in Chad
2-Unit Play. 'Over' 1.5 (-190) Madagascar at Comoros (12 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8)
We lay the price here to have over 1.5 goals but that is why I am keeping the rating low at 3 units here. I do not want to get burned with over 2.5 goals if the match lands on exactly 2 goals although I am fully expecting 3 or more goals here. This is a very low total considering there is decent attacking firepower on each side. All we need is a 1-1 or 2-0 type of match here and we cash this ticket. 4 of last 5 Comoros matches totaled at least 2 goals and those 4 averaged 4 goals apiece. They allowed an average of 2 goals in those 5 matches yet they are certainly a favorite here on the 3-way line for a reason. That said, I do not expect a clean sheet here for them but I do expect a win or at least a draw for Comoros so this one shapes up to be a 1-1 or 2-1 match at the very least. Madagascar and Comoros have had some recent 1-0 matches when they meet up but Madagsacar enters this one on a run in whiich they have scored an average of 2 goals last 8 matches. This total is simply too low given the recent trending of these clubs and this match is too important to each to see either club held off the scoresheet the way I see it. Omari is out for the Comoros defense and Madagascar likely to run a 4-1-4-1 formation again here like they did in the 3-1 victory over Chad. Look for them to build off the confidence of that win and they will get on the board here after being shutout in the last two meetings with Comoros. This one likely gets to 2-1 as a result but I certainly expect at least a 2-0 final or 1-1 draw here. 2* OVER 1.5 (-190) in Comoros

7-Unit Play: MLS Take LAFC/Toronto FC Under 2.5 (+120) (10:30 p.m., Wednesday Oct. 8)
LAFC is an attacking team but this line is a bit out of whack as we think this one has a really good chance to go under the 2.5 total. First of all, LAFC has been amazing defensively and they have allowed just two goals total in their last four games and enter this one off consecutive clean sheets. Toronto will be hard pressed to find the back of the net. Toronto is out of the playoff hunt and just playing out the season here, so there won’t be a lot of emphasis on attack. They probably just want to get out of this one without being embarrassed, so they will probably concentrate on defense. Toronto has averaged less than a goal per game over their last 13 games, so this is not a strong offensive team. We think there’s a good chance they could lay a goose egg here. LAFC will be missing their top goal scorer in Denis Bouanga, who is out for International Duty. We think LAFC will be happy just with a 1-0 or 2-0 result here, and we just don’t see the offense going off. They are coming off a one-goal effort against a similar team that is out of the playoff picture in Atlanta, and we see a similar type game to that one, where LAFC won 1-0. I'm playing the Under. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.
