I follow Philly area sports very closely as my family roots are there and I have been entrenched in the Philly sports scene all my life. As for this play, Villanova came into the season ranked as high as Top Five in the preseason FCS rankings. They blew a late lead at home versus William & Mary in an inexcusable loss. They did enjoy the surprising return of QB Pat McQuaide which will likely key another big season for the Wildcats. However, he had an usually poor 4th quarter and all the eligibility questions were likely still a bother to him in terms of mental preparation for that game. It was only the day of the game that he found out he would be able to play in the game and he was announced as the starting QB about an hour before kickoff. I expect McQuaide and the Cats to be ready to respond big this week and they will take advantage of a Bucknell team that was down 28-0 at the half against Richmond last week! The fact that the Bucknell game ended 'only' 35-14 is helping to give us some line value here. The aggregate score of the last 4 meetings between these teams is Villanova 187, Bucknell 30.
