2026 World Series Predictions with Futures Betting Odds

The 2026 season is upon us. Opening Day Weekend has arrived and now it is time for us to see how the offseason moves have changed the identity of certain teams. The Los Angeles Dodgers are once again entering the year as the heavy favorites to win the World Series, though the two titans in the NL East are ready to keep them from reaching the Fall Classic. Seattle, Detroit, and New York are all sitting on the American League side of the bracket, ready to win a ring. The Dodgers are followed by the Mariners, Yankees, Mets, and Phillies to round out the Top Five odds of winning a ring. Let’s dive into the favorites and see if they are really built to win a ring.
Doc’s Sports offers MLB expert picks for every game on our baseball predictions page.
Los Angeles Dodgers +210
There is no surprise to anyone that the Dodgers have the most favorable odds to win another ring. They have been brilliant in constructing a video game like roster, and that roster got a boost when they brough in Kyle Tucker and Edwin Diaz. The rotation is loaded with Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Shohei Ohtani, Tyler Glasnow, and Emmet Sheehan with Blake Snell set to return at some point this season. They also have Roki Sasaki who could earn a rotation spot. The top half of the lineup has Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Tucker, and Teoscar Hernandez. The bottom half has Will Smith, Maxy Muncy, and Andy Pages. The opposing pitchers will get little to no rest night in and night out. The lineup gets a boost when Tommy Edman returns from the IL. The bullpen will be anchored by Diaz, but it also has guys like Blake Treinen and Tanner Scott. It is hard to see anyone upending the Dodgers with this sort of roster intact.
Seattle Mariners +1100
The Seattle Mariners have the second-best odds to win the World Series at +1100. They are one of the few teams that have a starting rotation that can compete with the Dodgers. Logan Gilbert, George Kirby, and Bryan Woo are one of the top trios in the MLB, and they are followed by Luis Castillo and Bryce Miller. Andrez Munoz is automatic in save situations and has been one of the most reliable bullpen arms over the last few years. The lineup has some major pop potential with Cal Raleigh, Josh Naylor, Julio Rodriguez, and Randy Arozarena. Rodriguez is a guy with serious 40/40 potential while Raleigh and Naylor could very well combine for nearly 100 homeruns on the year. Their path to a World Series berth will be difficult, but they have the best pitching of any team in the American League, and they could potentially add another elite bat to boost the offense.
New York Yankees +1100
The Yankees are starting the season shorthanded in the rotation with Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodon starting the year on the IL. If they can all return healthy, this trio is just as strong as the Dodgers and Mariners rotation. The bullpen is anchored by David Bednar and Camilo Doval, which could be the best 8-9 inning guys in the league. However, the lineup has to produce. They have some big names like Aaron Judge, Jazz Chisholm, and Cody Bellinger, but Judge has been the only consistent producer throughout his career. Last season, the lineup exceeded expectations. This year, the lineup needs to live up to those newfound heights in order to keep the Yankees near the top of the league. However, the bottom can fall out pretty quickly with injuries or an underperforming lineup. I am staying away from the Yankees.
New York Mets +1300
The Mets have tried to turn themselves into a baby Dodgers team. They have spent a lot of money trying to add star power everywhere they can. While they have done a great job doing so, they still have yet to put it all together on the field. They did lose Brandon Nimmo and Pete Alonso, but now they have Marcus Semien and Bo Bichette. They also added Jorge Polanco which adds even more depth to the lineup. The issue for the Mets is the health of their rotation and depth of the pitching staff. Adding Freddy Peralta was huge for this Mets team, giving them a true and proven ace. Nolan McLean, David Peterson, Clay Holmes, and Kodai Senga are a solid group to follow Peralta. While the rotation looks strong, there are a lot of injury potential in the starting five which could derail the team. The bullpen is also incredibly weak. Devin Williams had a terrible year last year for the Yankees, and he doesn’t have a lot of relievers ahead of him that offer any confidence.
Philadelphia Phillies +1600
Even with the Mets adding even more to their roster, the Phillies are the reigning NL East Champions, and they are likely to repeat that again. They have a strong cohesive roster that has played together and at a high level for many years. Their season seems to live and die with the health and productivity of Zack Wheeler. However, the Phillies do have some strong starting pitching depth with Cristopher Sanchez, Jesus Luzardo, and Aaron Nola, with other prospects waiting for a turn. Expect the team to invest in the bullpen ahead of the deadline and perhaps have another outfield addition as well. The lineup looks strong once again here, but the outfield is a little weak. Regardless, there is a lot of talent to like on this team, and they are a strong value pick to upend the Dodgers.
World Series Winner
Favorites are favorites for a reason. It is never fun discussing the chalk pick, but the Dodgers are not going to be dethroned this season. They are truly in a league of their own with the talent on this roster, and if they are fully healthy in October, it won’t be an issue. Of course anything can happen on a baseball field, especially in the fall, but it would shock me if the Dodgers were knocked out. As for their biggest rival, the Seattle Mariners are primed to give them a fight. They have elite pitching, but the lineup would really have to show up in this series. Unfortunately, no other team in the MLB has enough to compete with the Dodgers.
