DOC’S SPORTS NHL could not be more excited for the new season! Doc’s has enjoyed three of four winning hockey years, including in 2024 when they put up some of the best numbers in the nation. They are known for their fast starts, and they earned approximately +10K by April in each of the last two seasons. Doc’s NHL has identified several under and overvalued teams to start the season and they expect to get off to another strong start in 2026! RAPHAEL ESPARZA has rung up three straight winning football weekends. He is gearing up for a 6-Unit College Football Play Saturday followed by a 7-Unit NFL Play Sunday. Last weekend Esparza swept the football weekend, going 5-0, +1,900, and he looks to damage the books again. Esparza has cashed three straight 7-Unit football plays and Sunday he looks for another top ticket cash. Esparza is up +8,870 this season with his MMA/UFC selections and last Saturday at UFC Vegas 121 he hit his 6-Unit Play. Two weeks ago, he hit his 8-Unit UFC Fight of the Year and this Saturday night in Salt Lake City Esparza will have a 7-Unit UFC 332 Play. He is now 22-5, +9,300 with his last 27 UFC/MMA plays. He is also 13-6 on his last 19 WNBA plays rated 5.0+ and with the WNBA playoffs here he looks to add to his winning run. SCOTT RICKENBACH is +15,290 in MLB since August of 2025, when this 2-decade veteran joined Doc's. He is 36-12 with his last 48 MLB sides and is up +10,655 this season alone. Last year his college plays rated 7.0+ went on an 11-3 run and he looks to top that this season. NHL Hockey Prediction From Scott Rickenbach:

Take #21 Buffalo (-105) at Columbus (7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 1)

The Blue Jackets wrapped up last season on a run in which they lost 9 of their last 11 games and that includes a current 0-6 run in home games that carries into this season. Here they host a Sabres team that is expected to regress some this season. However, Buffalo still has a projected season point projection that is above that of the Blue Jackets for the new season. That said, I like the value with the Sabres at a very small price here on the road. Buffalo has a nice long home stand on deck after this season opener on the road and they know that helps give them the opportunity to get this season off to a strong start. Just take care of business for one road game and then have a successful home stand and the Sabres can be off and running. Last season the Sabres had 24 road wins and Columbus had 20 home wins. Home ice is always baked into the home line price but, in this case, I would argue that it is helping give us even a little more line value with Buffalo given those home/road numbers from last season. I know that Buffalo is expected to drop off some this season but I still like their overall roster (in comparison with Columbus) and feel they are superior to the Blue Jackets again this season. Look for the special teams (power play / penalty kill) to continue to be an issue for Columbus. Take Buffalo on the money line Thursday. College Football Prediction From Raphael Esparza:

Take 'Over' 49.5 Liberty at Delaware (7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 2)

I know this game is being played at Delaware Stadium, but this total is all about the offense the Liberty Flames offense. The Flames are averaging 36.3ppg in their three-game winning streak and if the Blue Hens can't slow down the run game, this game could get out of hand. I was hoping the same type of game will be played out when the Blue Hens faced Vanderbilt and that final produced 61 points and Vanderbilt won 35-26. Liberty is 7-0 O/U after allowing 20 points or less in their game and look for the Flames to run up the score early. College Football Prediction From Robert Ferringo:

Take #151 Auburn (+7.5) over Tennessee (3:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 26)

That is now five of six free play winners in this space after an outright winner last week with Wake Forest (+13). I actually think Auburn is the better team here. Winning on the road in the SEC is always tough, of course, but I think they are a live dog in this game. Auburn has already faced two quality teams in Florida and Baylor and those two games were decided by a total of six points. Auburn’s defense has held three of its four opponents to 16 points or fewer and I think they will give the Vols some trouble here. Tennessee is in a letdown spot this week after hosting No. 1 Texas and coming up short last Saturday. The Vols won’t have nearly the same energy for this one. Tennessee is still relying on freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon. Brandon took 10 sacks against the Longhorns, had to leave part of the game for injury, and was rattled in a big way. I think Auburn’s defense is going to be able to hold him in check and the Vols offense just isn’t going to be able to get the separation it needs to get ahead of this number. These are not familiar foes – they haven’t played since 2020 – and Auburn is 4-1 SU in this series dating back to 2008. Since the start of the 2023 season, Auburn has been an underdog of eight or fewer points 11 times. Only once – against Georgia, last year – did they lose one of those games by more than a touchdown. Auburn is notoriously difficult to blow out and I think they find a way to make the number hold up here. College Football Prediction From Doc's Sports:

Take ‘Over’ Maryland at Nebraska (4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 3)

We faded Maryland with last week’s free play, and the Terrapins delivered a rough performance in a 54-3 home loss to UCLA. That result has turned up the heat on their head coach, and we expect a better offensive effort this Saturday. The bigger concern remains Maryland’s defense, which surrendered 34 points to Virginia Tech before allowing 54 to UCLA. Nebraska has been piling up points, scoring 49, 56, 34, and 31 in its first four games of 2026. With the Cornhuskers rolling offensively and Maryland looking to respond, we like this matchup to go over the total. Back the Over. College Football Prediction From Strike Point Sports:

Take #183 Arkansas (+14) over Texas A&M (7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 3)

As I stated with my play on Arkansas last weekend, they are one team that I like to bet on. The Razorbacks have had a tough start to the season because they have had a truly difficult schedule. Arkansas made a statement with an easy victory to get some momentum before stepping up in class yet again versus Texas A&M. The Razorbacks had to start the season with early battles at Utah, and at home versus Georgia, but I don't see this game being on that level. Yes, Texas A&M is very good, especially at home, but I'm gladly going to take the two touchdowns. Texas A&M was primed to take advantage of a letdown spot for LSU, but instead got smacked 35-6, after losing to Kentucky by double-figures the weekend before. NFL Prediction From Nick Menken:

Take #280 New Orleans (-2.5) over Atlanta (8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 5)

We're laying the short home spread and taking the New Orleans Saints -2.5 as they host their NFC South rivals, the Atlanta Falcons, under the lights at Caesars Superdome. This is a prime bounce-back opportunity for New Orleans on Monday Night Football. The Saints are coming off a disappointing home loss to the Raiders where late mistakes cost them, but they still moved the ball effectively with 381 total yards. Dropping two straight at home to open divisional play would put them in an early hole, so expect New Orleans to play with maximum urgency in front of a wild Superdome crowd. Atlanta hits the road after a high-profile Thursday night win against Green Bay at Lambeau, but asking them to go back-to-back on the road in two brutal hostile environments is a tough task. Division rivalries between these two are always tight, physical battles, but the Saints have the edge up front to control the line of scrimmage, slow down Atlanta's ground game, and generate late stops. Laying under a key field goal hook at home is great value, back New Orleans to make a statement and cover the -2.5 line.
