College Bowl Betting: Best and Worst Bowl Games
by T.O. Whenham - 12/6/2011
It’s bowl season — one of my favorite times of year. While the college bowl game schedule is fresh in our minds it seems like a very good time to pick out the ones that jump out as the best and the worst of the games from the perspective of both a fan and a bettor. Here are five that really stand out as potentially great ones, and four that are almost certain to be terrible.
BCS Championship Game Odds: LSU vs. Alabama Point Spread and Line Movement
by T.O. Whenham - 12/5/2011
The odds have been set for the BCS Championship Game — the divisional rematch between the LSU Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide — and oddsmakers see this one as close. In fact, they couldn’t find it closer — 5Dimes is one of many books that has posted the game at or near ‘pick‘em’ in early action. The early totals line is listed at 39.5.
College Football Picks: Army vs. Navy Odds and Predictions
by Alan Matthews - 12/5/2011
It might not be the most-heated rivalry in college football, but many would make the argument that it’s the most storied when Army and Navy collide – it’s a game so important it gets the entire college weekend to itself. This year’s 112th meeting is at FedEx Field outside of Washington, D.C., the first time Army-Navy has been held in the Capital Beltway.
Updated College Bowl Game Projections and BCS Predictions
by Nicholas Tolomeo - 11/29/2011
Barring voter revolt, the SEC rematch between LSU and Alabama is set. Even if LSU loses to Georgia in the SEC Championship Game the Tigers will remain in the top two of the BCS standings based on their wins over No. 2 Alabama, No. 8 Arkansas and No. 9 Oregon.

Handicapping Tips and Advice: College Football Rivalry Week
by Nicholas Tolomeo - 11/23/2011
It might be feast week in college basketball, but it is also the second to last week of the college football regular season, also known as rivalry week. Some of the traditional college football rivalry games mean more than usual while some mean less than usual, but try telling the players and fan bases involved that some of these games do not matter in the grand scheme of things.
College Football Predictions: Arkansas at LSU Odds and Betting Picks
by T.O. Whenham - 11/22/2011
It’s yet another game of the century in this crazy college football season. This one has so many things riding on the outcome, with the BCS Championship Game at the top of that list. If LSU wins then they are just one win over Georgia in the SEC Championship away from their shot at the national title.
2011-12 College Bowl Projections and BCS Predictions
by Nicholas Tolomeo - 11/22/2011
Nearly all the dominoes have fallen into place and an SEC rematch is becoming more certain each day. LSU only needs to get past Arkansas at home and then win the SEC Championship against Georgia. Alabama visits Auburn in the Iron Bowl, which is far from a layup. If Arkansas can win in Death Valley the door opens for the Razorbacks to play for a title.

College Football Handicapping: Ranking the Conferences
by T.O. Whenham - 11/10/2011
We are more than halfway through conference play in college football. That means that we know a fair bit about what each conference is capable of, and what problems and limitations they face. That means it is a good time to make a reasonably accurate ranking of the strength of the major conferences for help with college football handicapping.
College Football Picks: Virginia Tech at Georgia Tech Odds and Predictions
by Alan Matthews - 11/8/2011
It’s another all-ACC matchup on ESPN’s Thursday night NCAA football game this week, and it’s a good one from Atlanta when No. 20 Georgia Tech hosts No. 10 Virginia Tech with the winner likely to represent the Coastal Division in the ACC Championship Game against Clemson (the Tigers haven’t clinched yet but can with a home win over Wake Forest on Saturday).
College Football Handicapping: Best and Worst Against the Spread
by T.O. Whenham - 11/8/2011
As we head into the home stretch of the college football season it’s a good time to look at the teams that have been very kind to bettors, and those that have burned bettors’ money at an alarming pace. Here’s a look at the studs and duds of this season against the spread to help with your college football handicapping:
College Football Picks: Mid-Major Game Day Predictions Week 11
by David Schwab - 11/8/2011
With the regular season winding down, teams continue to jockey for position for the upcoming bowl season. Some teams like LSU are trying to secure a spot in the BCS title game, while others are just trying to win enough game to become bowl eligible. A good number of the teams in that latter group reside in the mid-major conferences, where each week there are always some solid plays on a few of these ‘under the radar’ games.

This week, all eyes are sure to be focused on the biggest game of the year when No.1 LSU takes on No.2 Alabama this Saturday night in Tuscaloosa. Doc's Sports Weekly Big Ten Football Betting Report
by Nicholas Tolomeo - 10/25/2011
The rollercoaster ride of a game that saw Michigan State trail by 14 in the first quarter, lead by 14 in the fourth quarter and wind up tied 31-31 with seconds left on the clock ended, appropriately enough, with an unconventional Hail Mary. With 76,405 in attendance anticipating overtime, Spartan quarterback Kirk Cousins launched up a prayer.
