2014 Season Win Total Picks NCAA Football: 'Over'
Coach Rich Rodriguez is still waiting for that breakout season down in Tucson and is hoping that things really click in his third season in the desert. Arizona has gone 8-5 the past two years under Rich Rod and has sported an 8-5 mark in four of the last six seasons. They are hoping to break through that glass ceiling this year.

Arizona has to replace outstanding running back Ka'Deem Carey and his 1,900 rushing yards as well as quarterback B.J. Denker. But they do have seven other starters back and a very strong offensive line setting up the No. 11 rush offense in the nation. But the Wildcats have to get better defensively. They have six starters back, including four in the secondary, but they need to get stingier in terms of giving up yards.
A fast start is possible for Arizona, as three of their first four games are at home. Their first road game, however, is at Oregon. But they get five of their last eight league games at home and have a winnable road game at Washington State.
Arizona has been awesome in the nonconference, going 8-0 under Rodriguez and 13-2 in nonleague games the last four years. But they have been horrible on the road, going 4-6 under Rich Rod and just 5-11 away from home the last three years.
I think that Arizona's attempt to get 'over' will come down to its rivalry game to cap the season. Fortunately they get Arizona State in Tucson so the Wildcats have the advantage. I think this team will continue to be good but not great. And I see them getting to seven wins. Take the 'over'.
