Murphy has also gone 19-8 with his last 27 MLB plays, posting 22 of 30 winning days on the diamond for +2,740. He is 28-14, +3,095 with his last 42 plays and will have more this weekend. Murphy has also notched back-to-back top play college football wins (2-0, +1,100) and will have more this week. Murphy has gathered +2,935 with his last 22 daily props (16-6) and he is up a solid +2,690 with his last 50 WNBA predictions. NFL Prediction From Jason Sharpe:
Take #453 Kansas City (-165) over Los Angeles Chargers (8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 5)
Two of the better coaches’ teams face off in this one. Kansas City has been awesome in close games winning an NFL record 17 straight games in contests decided by one score. The Chiefs head coach Andy Reid knows how to prepare his team winning 10 of 12 season opening games overall and he's 50-23 in September games straight-up while on the other side of things the Chargers have dropped 9 straight games decided by 3 points or less. LA also lost their best offensive lineman to a season ending injury a few months back and that's a huge loss for a team I already felt was likely to take a step backwards this season. Look for the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes to figure out a way like always to grind out a win here in this one. Play KC on the moneyline in this contest. College Football Prediction From Raphael Esparza:
Take Under 52 San Jose State at Texas (Noon, Saturday Sept. 6)
Last week of course we had the San Jose St Spartans game going 'Over' the total and the Spartans struggled against the Central Michigan Chippewas. San Jose St only scored 14 points and I see them having a horrible Saturday afternoon against a pissed off Texas team. The Longhorns scored 7 points in the 'Shoe' last week as thy lost to Ohio St and the Longhorns offense will be looking for some redemption. I see a Texas blowout game and wouldn't shock me to see Longhorns 'D' allowing 14 points or less at Memorial Stadium. San Jose St is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. College Football Prediction From Robert Ferringo:
Take #346 Navy (-21) over UAB (3:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6)
I am now 54-28 (66%) with my last 82 Doc’s Sports newsletter plays. We have racked up 80 of 120 wins in this space (67%) and I am 125-69 (65%) with my newsletter plays over the last 194 weeks. Trent Dilfer is a joke. His UAB team is a joke. This will be his last year at this campus, so enjoy these last few opportunities to bet against him. Dilfer’s team is 8-17 in his three years at the helm and they are coming off a thoroughly uninspiring win over FCS foe Alabama State, a team that finished in fifth place in the SWAC last year. UAB was up 45-42 in that game before a touchdown with 1:19 left set the final score (52-42). They were losing that game at halftime and allowed Alabama State’s top two rushers 173 yards on 30 attempts. So, if Alabama State can rush for six yards per carry against the Blazers, what is Navy going to do? The Middies ran up a 52-7 win in their opener and are now on a 5-1 ATS run dating back to last season, with the only loss coming against a very good Tulane team. This is Navy’s best team in several seasons and they should deliver a knockout early to this overmatched UAB team. The Blazers have lost to Army and Navy by 25, 23 and 34 points the last two seasons and I don’t think Dilfer has any idea how to defend the option. Take Navy to roll. College Football Prediction From Scott Spreitzer:
Take #346 Navy (-21) over UAB (3:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6)
I’m laying the points with Navy. UAB had to fight tooth-and-nail to get past Alabama State, an unranked FCS program from the SWAC. The Blazers allowed 42 points, 26 first downs, 312 yards and 4 TDs on 18 of 24 passing, and a whopping 202 yards rushing on nearly 5 yards per carry. Now they have to face Navy’s option attack, piloted by QB Blake Horvath. The Middies bombarded VMI last weekend and Horvath was terrific on the ground and through the air. The defense looked in mid-season form. Navy whipped UAB 41-18 on the road last season and Horvath not only ran for 84 yards but passed for 225 yards and 2 TDs. This is an extremely tough spot for the Blazers and I’m laying the points with Navy. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer. College Football Prediction From Doc's Sports:
Take #393 Ball State (+43) over Auburn (7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6)
Easy free play winner last week in College Football Week 1 and we look forward to making it two in a row! Auburn got a much-needed victory last week against Baylor and I feel they will be in for a letdown this week against an inferior opponent. Ball State is a bad team and got shutout against Purdue last week, so I feel Auburn will take them lightly in this game. Auburn still has a brutal schedule, and I see them just going through the motions and winning this game by 35-40 points. Ball State should be able to muster some offense in this game and that will make it even harder for Auburn to cover this number. Soccer Prediction From Nick Menken:
Take Tottenham (+115) over West Ham (12:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 13)
Tottenham’s strong 2-0 start to the season was undone by a slip-up at Bournemouth last weekend, but they’ll be confident about getting back on track with a trip to East London. This is a team that’s clearly moving in the right direction. The summer signings have added real depth and quality, and there’s a noticeable shift in energy and ambition around the club. Spurs look like a side aiming for more than just a top-six finish; they’ve got their eyes on the top tier of the Premier League. This is exactly the type of match they need to win if they’re going to stay on that trajectory. West Ham, on the other hand, looks set for a tough season. They’ve struggled to find form and consistency, and while playing at home helps, it’s hard to ignore the growing gap in quality. Tottenham are quicker, sharper, and more composed in key moments, and that tends to show over 90 minutes. For a fixture between two clubs on opposite ends of the table, the current odds offer solid value. Spurs are playing with purpose and confidence, and while every London derby carries some unpredictability, this feels like a spot where the better team gets the job done. Expect Tottenham to bounce back and take all three points. If you don’t have an account at Doc’s Sports sign up now and get $60 in premium member picks click here. NFL Prediction From Strike Point Sports:
Take #461 New York Giants (+6) over Washington (1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 7)
That’s now back-to-back free play winners and we will go for No. 3 in a row. The Commanders may win this game outright but they are not covering this line. This is the most momentum the Giants will have all season long, and that's not a good thing for Giants fans. New York has a brutal schedule, but they have a ton of confidence coming out of the preseason and they fully believe they can win this game. The Giants have one of the best defensive fronts in the NFL and they are going to keep New York in this game. Teams have had a year to watch film and prep for Daniels, and it will show. No, the Giants won't shut him down but they will slow him up enough to keep this game within a touchdown. Give me the points. MLB Prediction From Griffin Murphy:
Take Chicago Cubs (-1.5) over Washington (2:20 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 7)
Chicago comes into this home field day game 78-59 on the season, 5-5 in their last 10 games, and 41-25 at Wrigley Field. The Cubs are in a massive race in the NL Central with Milwaukee right in front of them. The Cubs must clean up winnable series like this against teams like the Nationals. The Nationals are 27-41 on the road, 2-8 in their last 10 games, and have lost 8 games in a row. Chicago is 4th in offensive runs per game and 6th when it comes to runs against. Chicago is by far the better team here, and we expect them to pound Washington here at home in front of their home crowd. NFL Futures Prediction From Strike Point Sports:
Take Houston Texans ‘Over’ 9.5 Wins (+100)
The Houston Texans were an average football team and won 10 games last year. Their biggest issue was their offensive line, and yes, it’s still not great but it will be improved. The Texans offense will be more efficient and their defense will make the necessary adjustments to be even better. Houston should once again be the best team in the AFC South so that gives them a 4-2 record, at worst there. The NFC and AFC West are the cross overs for the South this season and although they have some good teams that isn’t a daunting task. At worst I see that as a 5-3 record. This would give Houston 9 wins. The Texans would need to find one more win out of Buffalo, Baltimore, and Tampa Bay. This is a tough task but at worst I like them to get a win here getting Houston to 10 wins. The games that will have the biggest impact (Buffalo, San Francisco, and Denver, are all in Houston, which is huge for this seasons win total. Give me the Texans at OVER 9.5.
