NICK MENKEN is coming out firing on the gridiron this season, hitting an impressive 70% to start the football 2026 season. Menken is currently 7-3 in his football selections, and he’s coming off a strong 3-1 college football Saturday. With NFL Week 2 taking center stage, Menken is shifting his primary focus to the NFL and already has his 7-Unit NFL Play locked and loaded for Sunday. More opportunities, more firepower, and another chance to keep this football heater rolling. Menken is currently 9-3 over his last 12 top plays and you can ride this momentum to the next stage this weekend.
RAPHAEL ESPARZA is coming off back-to-back winning football weekends. He is gearing up for college football this week with a 6-Unit College Football Play Saturday followed by his first 7-Unit NFL Play Sunday. Esparza is up +7,470 this season with his MMA/UFC selections and has a rare 8-Unit UFC Fight of the Year for this weekend’s action (UFC 331 in California). He cashed his 7-Unit UFC Play two-weeks ago (+770) and is 20-5, +7,900 with his last 25 UFC/MMA plays. Esparza is now 13-6 on his last 19 WNBA plays rated 5.0+ and when the WNBA comes back this week he looks to jump back to cashing tickets with the ladies. Esparza has been on a nice run in soccer, cashing some big tickets during the week, and this weekend he has his eyes on the MLS and Liga MX. Esparza is also keeping his eyes on a pair of potential 5-Unit Plays Friday (MLB) and Saturday he will have multiple horse racing plays. You know the deal: you pick the sport: he picks the winners!
SCOTT RICKENBACH is on a 157-109, +12,745 MLB run since April 19 and is already up +2,295 this football season. College Football Prediction From Raphael Esparza:
Take 'Over' 68 Portland State at Oregon (10:30p.m., Friday, Sept. 18)
How pissed off are the Oregon Ducks going to be Friday night? The Ducks come back home after a road loss to the Oklahoma St Cowboys and the Ducks defense allowed 39 points. In 2023, the Ducks beat the Portland St Vikings 81-7 and that total was 64.5 and I see Oregon getting close to the 70 mark themselves. If the Vikings defense allows the San Diego St offense to score 53 points in Week #1 what will the Ducks do at home and coming off a loss? College Football Prediction From Scott Rickenbach:
Take #120 Clemson (-3.5) over North Carolina (Noon, Saturday, Sept. 19)
The Tigers lost starting QB, a senior (Vizzina), and now have to go with the freshman Reynolds. Clemson looked horrible versus LSU and really did not look much better last week even though they beat Georgia Southern 22-7. The new offensive coordinator has not impressed and this Tigers team is struggling in red zone chances and, like we saw against Georgia Southern, settling for field goals. Have to give North Carolina credit for their 2-0 start to this season of course. However, the Tar Heels faced East Tennessee State last week and their first game was in Dublin Ireland against TCU. Sometimes those one-off games with long travel involved to a neutral site are difficult to gauge a team by because the situation is so unique. Again, North Carolina deserves credit but I still don't trust them on the road here though I fully understand the line move from 6.5 to 3.5 on this one. As a result of the additional value from the line move, I will get behind this Clemson team right now! I expect the freshman QB will do better here after a full week of practice with the #1 unit and knowing he is the #1 guy heading into this week's game. Reynolds will be ready and let's not forget that North Carolina went 2-7 in their last 9 games in 2025. Also, the Tar Heels do have a bye week on deck and then a huge home game with #3 Notre Dame on deck. The Tigers rolled the Heels 38-10 last season and I do feel the hosts will win in solid fashion here although we will see a tighter game than last year. Lay it with Clemson -3.5 Saturday. College Football Prediction From Robert Ferringo:
Take Alabama (-19.5) over Florida State (3:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19)
That is now four straight free play winners in this space after a blowout with Jacksonville in Week 1. That was fun so let’s do it again. I think that this game could get bloody. Some money has come in on FSU this week to pull this number under 20. I’m not buying it though. This is a revenge game for the Crimson Tide after their embarrassing loss in Florida to open last season. Alabama has already blown out two teams that are comparable to the Seminoles, hammering East Carolina and Kentucky. Now they are at home with that rabid crowd and motivated to deliver a beating. Florida State has not looked good in either of its games this season. They barely held off woeful New Mexico State and lost to SMU (at home, with the advantage of already playing a game) despite the Mustangs committing four turnovers and a slew of mistakes. FSU has had two weeks to prepare for this game. But how much do you trust Mike Norvell’s preparation? The Seminoles are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games and have lost their last four road games by an average of nearly 13 points per game. Let’s make it 38-13 for this one. Soccer Prediction From Doc's Sports:
Take San Jose (+0.5, -155) over LAFC (7:30 p.m., Saturday Sept. 19)
San Jose hadn’t won a match since the World Cup up until recently but lo and behold they have now won two straight and look like a completely different side. They manhandled a good San Diego side on the road in a 3-2 win that was more dominant than the final score might indicate. And last week they gutted out a 1-0 win here at home vs. a Houston side that is one of the top teams in the Western Conference. We were on San Jose in that one and mentioned in our writeup that one of the main problems with the Earthquakes since the World Cup break is that they were lacking confidence and now they seem to have it back in spades and their play has been exceptionally strong. They are now unbeaten in four straight matches, and they are back in a Top 4 spot in the West with a chance to move higher with three points here. We only need a draw however, to cash this ticket, and we think they can do enough to get at least a point. LAFC is coming off a 3-1 road loss at Kansas City, one of MLS’s worst sides. LAFC are behind the Earthquakes in the standings despite all the struggles San Jose has faced since the World Cup break. They have only one win in their last eight MLS matches, and this side is just not playing championship-caliber futbol right now. San Jose always raises their level of play when LAFC comes to town and have won five of the last six meetings here. College Football Prediction From Arun Shiva:
Take 'Under' 53.0 Purdue vs. UCLA (11 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19
Purdue comes off a wild game against Wake Forest where they made a valiant come back at home and fell short as the contest went well over. They key here is that their defense did not hold up near the end and they know this and I think they will shore up these mistakes here on the road. They face a rebuild that is in full effect and going very well here with Coach Chesney and UCLA who are already 2-0 out of the gates with a fantastic display of defense in holding San Diego State to 10 points. Note, that UCLA has a big game at Maryland on the road the following week and might get up early and then just hold on to their lead and show much as they get ready for the following week. NFL Prediction From Nick Menken:
Take ‘Under’ 39.5 Philadelphia at Tennessee (1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20)
Targeting the lowest total in Week 2 board is an absolute gift given how these two teams match up. Tennessee's offense looked completely stuck in second gear in their opener, limping to just 10 points while failing to generate any kind of rhythm or big plays downfield. Now they have to face a stout Philly front that generates real pressure without blitzing. Expecting Tennessee to suddenly push past 14 points against this defense feels like a massive reach. On the other side, Philly's game plan writes itself once they get ahead. Their whole identity with a lead is leaning heavily on that elite offensive line, pounding the rock on early downs, and chewing up play clock to keep the opposing offense off the field. If Philly builds an early two-score lead, they'll happily grind out four-yard runs, run the play clock down to two seconds every snap, and let the entire second half turn into a slow, low-possession grind. When one team can't score and the other just wants to bleed the clock and go home, taking the Under is the easiest play on the board. NFL Prediction From Strike Point Sports:
Take 'Under' 46.5 Indianapolis at Kansas City (8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20)
Two easy wins in this space last week with Rams-49ers ‘Under’ and Dodgers -1.5 over Miami. All Pat Mahomes and the KC Chiefs do is fall short of the posted total when he is a home favorite. This sets up perfectly for more of the same. DC Steve Spagnolo had Bo Nix on his heels all game long, and now they get to tee off on a less mobile Daniel Jones. I just don't see the Chiefs offense putting up a ton of points in this one, and I see the Colts struggle with the different looks that Spags and company will throw at them. I have this game at roughly 42 points, so there is plenty of value on the 'under'. If you don’t have an account at Doc’s Sports sign up now and get $60 in premium member picks click here.
