Take Ohio State over North Carolina (9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 19)
The one thing that worries me is that the ACC has absolutely owned the Big Ten over the last decade. But that’s it. That’s my only concern. There is no doubt in my eyes that Ohio State is not only the better team here, but that the books are going to be almost forced into a situation where they have to be giving points to a very experienced, talented Buckeyes crew. Winning in college hoops is all about guard play. And there is just no doubt that Ohio State has significantly better perimeter talent. UNC is relying on a lot of inexperienced players. And in their first trip to Madison Square Garden I think that youth will be a big negative. I project this line to be around Ohio State +4 but, as I mentioned, I think that our side wins outright.
