NBA Betting: Atlanta Hawks Season Long Handicapping 2/19/2026 vs. Philadelphia 76ers

All year long, Doc’s Sports is your home for free NBA picks and predictions on every Atlanta Hawks weekday matchup. By focusing on the Hawks, we can accurately predict how they match up against each NBA team, and churn a steady profit throughout the season. We are up more than 30 units so far, but the job is far from finished.
This is the Hawks' first game since last Wednesday, as they got extended rest during the NBA All-Star break. They closed out the unofficial first half of the NBA season with a 110-107 defeat against the Charlotte Hornets. Dyson Daniels led the way for Atlanta with 21 points, and considering his offensive struggles this season, that speaks volumes for how the Hawks fared offensively. They once again dug themselves a big hole to climb out of, as they were down as much as 19 before making it tight in the fourth. LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller caught fire from behind the arc, as their combined 12 threes propelled the Hornets to a crucial win.
Doc’s Sports offers NBA expert picks for every game on our NBA predictions page.
From a betting perspective, we had a perfect 2-0 night. We correctly took under 234 points, which looked like a sky-high total, and also nailed under 1.5 steals for LaMelo Ball, who finished with one. It is now crunch time for both the Hawks and this column with 26 games to go until the playoffs get underway. Atlanta is two games ahead of the Bulls for the final play-in tournament spot, and five games back of the 76ers for the 6th-place seed and the final guaranteed playoff spot that goes with it.
Tonight, the Atlanta Hawks (26-30) face a crucial road test against the Philadelphia 76ers (30-24). Jonathan Kuminga is still not ready to make his Hawks debut, but the rest of Atlanta’s injury report is clean. Atlanta has been struggling with injuries all year, and with time running out to reach the playoffs, staying healthy is of utmost importance. The Hawks limped into the All-Star break on a three-game losing skid, while the 76ers didn’t fare much better, having lost back-to-back games.
Philadelphia is already without Paul George, who is serving his suspension, and now Joel Embiid has also been ruled out tonight. That leaves a huge burden on Tyrese Maxey’s shoulders, as his 28.9 PPG and 6.8 assists are both nearly double the total for the next available 76er. Not only is Maxey the heart and soul of the 76ers' offense, but he has really elevated his play on the defensive end with a career-high 2.0 steals per game. His energy has become contagious to his teammates, and the 76ers have started to play with some intensity we haven’t seen before in the Joel Embiid era. Daniels will be draped on Maxey for most of this contest, as the Hawks will know if they can limit his effectiveness, it will be an uphill battle for the 76ers on every offensive possession.
Tonight will be the first time the entire starting five for the Hawks has been available since trading Trae Young. Injuries to Risacher, Johnson, Daniels, and Okongwu have prevented the Hawks from building chemistry, but it is now or never if they want to save this season. A wide-open Eastern Conference means the Hawks could actually go on a deep playoff run if they squeak into the playoffs, but that is far from guaranteed with +180 odds to do so. They have the offense with Johnson leading the way with McCollum and Alexander-Walker raining down threes, and they have the defense with Daniels and Risacher dominating on that end of the court. Availability has been the biggest hurdle to overcome, but they finally get the benefit of a healthy lineup against a shorthanded 76ers side.
Atlanta comes into this one as a +100 road underdog, and I am all over that price. The 76ers aren’t the same team without Embiid and George, as their rebounding advantage completely evaporates. Philly isn’t especially efficient on the offensive end, and usually uses extra possessions off the glass to compensate. That won’t be the case against a Hawks side that finally has their big men back, and unless the Hawks get cold from deep, this is their game to lose. Their 16-15 road record has remained impressive, and a win here would really tighten up the middle of the East. The Hawks have an advantage down low, they have been winning on the road all year, and they have the shooters needed to match Maxey and Edgecomb from behind the arc. At +100, the Hawks' moneyline will be our first bet of the night.
For the second bet of the night, we will take Corey Kispert to stay under 9.5 points. Kispert has been effective off the bench since joining the Hawks, but the reality is that he is probably the 8th or 9th man in the rotation. He has only averaged 10.1 PPG in 16 games since joining Atlanta, but he started six of those and got 21.5 minutes per night. I expect his minutes to drop, and he will struggle to score double digits against a 76ers team that guards the perimeter effectively.
