NCAA Football Predictions: Week 3 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Joey House - 9/11/2023
While the storms that caused delays during numerous footballs this past Saturday have gone back out to sea, another storm is sweeping across the college football landscape and shows no signs of abating. Hurricane Deion is in full effect. The most talked about off-season hire has lived up to his billing. And if you took Colorado's season-win total before the Buffalos fired their first salvo against TCU, you're already halfway to cashing your ticket.

NCAA Football Betting: Fading the Top 25 Weekly Free Picks Week 2
by Joey House - 9/8/2023
It was a rough start for our fading the Top 25 recommendations, as I posted a donut 0-3 ATS. No. 6 USC decided to play enough defense to cover their 38.5-point spread against Nevada, and ditto for Oregon State, winning as a 16.5-point favorite over San Jose State. In what was one of the sexy upset picks for many, Boise State got blown out against No. 10 Washington as a 14.5-point dog. Overall, the Top 25 teams were 19-3 SU, although the FSU-LSU game was the only contest between two ranked teams. The dogs were much more active against the spread (ATS), though, going 9-13 (including the Week 0 results).
College Football Free Picks: Weekly Mid-Major Report and Predictions for Coastal Carolina (Chanticleers vs. Jacksonville State)
by Matt Zitt - 9/7/2023
We were sweating bullets in that fourth quarter against UCLA, but the Chanticleers did just enough to cash in the 2-unit cover as CCU lost 27-13. We were not as fortunate with the over as both teams combined for only 40 points. However, we head into week 2 of Coastal Carolina’s season up one unit in total.
Weekly Public Action Football Betting Report with Predictions
by Joey House - 9/7/2023
Last week the Public Action Report was good at targeting reverse line movement. Since it is still early in the season, I'll cover my criteria once again. In order for a game to make my list, both the percentage of bets and money need to be on the opposing side of the line move. So, if all of the money and bets are going in on the favorite, but the spread shrinks instead of getting larger, then that game warrants a look. We are not advising to blindly bet on the recommended teams, but they definitely deserve a closer look. And this report has been solid in the past at targeting winners, especially later in the season.
College Football Free Picks: Weekly Mid-Major Report and Predictions for James Madison Week 2
by Joey House - 9/6/2023
Each week, I will use my thorough knowledge of James Madison to bring you insightful, but, more importantly, profitable, information and analyze the James Madison Dukes current game. To maximize our return on investment, I will be utilizing Doc's trusted "Unit Betting System".
NCAA Football Predictions: Week 2 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Joey House - 9/4/2023
Just how big was Colorado's 45-42 victory as a heavily bet 21-point underdog at TCU? Well, the Buffs had been an 8.5-point dog against Nebraska in Week 2, and that line is now Colorado -5 with a total of 65.5 at Circa. Their win total, which had been 3.5, is now 5 at most books. Their National Championship odds were cut in half, from +20000 to +10000.
NCAA Football Betting: Fading the Top 25 Weekly Free Picks
by Joey House - 9/1/2023
Welcome back to the latest edition of Doc's Sports Fading the Top 25, where take a gambler's perspective into the successes and failures of the fabled college football teams that make up the Top 25. While John Q. Public may only be concerned if these teams win or lose straight up, the life of a gambler is made up of point spreads, fades, and back-door covers. Of course, we'll keep track of the normal wins and losses for this group of teams, but we'll also dive deep into the "Against The Spread" (ATS) records to see if we can gain any insight that could help us cash tickets and show the books who's boss around these here parts.
Weekly Public Action Football Betting Report with Predictions
by Joey House - 8/31/2023
Welcome back to this year's edition of the Football Betting Public Action Report. Being able to monitor the odds market is an extremely important tool in the sports investor's arsenal of weapons. Having the ability to understand where the "sharp" money is going can help you in two different ways: it can allow you to find trends that can be exploited in slower-moving books, and just as importantly, help you identify situations where you can prevent yourself from making a bad wager. Ben Franklin's adage "A penny saved is a penny earned" is very applicable to the sports betting world.
College Football Free Picks: Weekly Mid-Major Report and Predictions for Coastal Carolina (Chanticleers vs. UCLA)

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers head to The Golden State for a Saturday night showdown with the UCLA Bruins in what should be an intriguing contest. We will be using Doc’s Sports Unit System, which I will give a 1-8 unit rating per pick.

After months of transfers and speculation, the college football season is upon us. Fresh off the heels of an incredibly successful debut campaign that saw them go 8-3 in their first season at the FBS level, excitement is sky-high on the campus of James Madison in support of their Dukes' football team. Living a short 20 minutes north on I-81, I'll be covering them each week and giving you the inside scoop that you won't find anywhere else. NCAA Football Predictions: Week 1 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Joey House - 8/28/2023
Now that we had our appetite whet with a few games this past weekend, it's time for the main entree, Week 1 of the college football season. With games starting Thursday and running through until Labor Day Monday, there are plenty of opportunities to start to build a bankroll and make this gambling football season a profitable one.
2023-24 Pac-12 Football Predictions with Betting Odds and Expert Picks
by Joey House - 8/27/2023
No other conference in the FBS faces more challenges than the Pac-12. In what likely could be their final season in existence, two-thirds of the iconic conference are leaving after this season. Cal, Stanford, Oregon State, and Washington State remain currently without a home after this season, although Cal and Stanford are attempting to join the ACC. It's a sad and disappointing end to such a historic part of college sports.
Arch Manning Starting Game Props Odds and Predictions
by Mike Allen - 8/26/2023
The Manning name has become one of royalty in both the worlds of college and professional football. It all started with the godfather, Elisha Archibald Manning III. Archie was born in 1949 in Drew, Mississippi. He later played quarterback at Ole Miss. Following a successful college career, Archie played 14 seasons with the New Orleans Saints. He had average statistics on an abysmal team. It was a different league back then, with defenses having an advantage in the ruleset.
2023 College Football Player Performance Props: Best Bets for QBs and WR
by Mike Allen - 8/26/2023
We're counting the minutes until the first full Saturday of the 2023 College Football regular season. Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, and LSU make up your top five teams in the Preseason AP Poll. That should come as no surprise, of course. It's good to see the USC Trojans coming in at 6th and projected to win the Pac-12. They are led by the 2022 Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Caleb Williams. The D.C.-born and raised Williams threw for over 4500 yards last season and 42 passing touchdowns with only five interceptions.
College Football Props: Team’s Chances to Play in Their Conference Championship
by Mike Allen - 8/25/2023
Opening Saturday for the 2023 College Football season is nearly upon us. Many of you guys have already jumped on season-long futures betting odds. Over/under betting for team wins is popular. So is predicting a particular conference winner. That can be risky when you think the season hasn't even started yet, and we are already crowning a conference winner.
Season Win Total Picks for Four College Football Independents
by Matt Zitt - 8/25/2023
Seven teams lived the independent life in 2022, but only four remain for this upcoming season. BYU jumped to the Big 12 after being independent for 12 seasons. Liberty and New Mexico State joined Conference USA. That leaves Notre Dame, Army, UConn, and UMass as the last four independent squads. A new TV deal with NBC could keep Notre Dame independent for the foreseeable future or the money associated with conference play could entice the Fighting Irish to join a major conference.
2023-24 MAC Football Predictions with Betting Odds and Expert Picks
by Matt Zitt - 8/24/2023
The Toledo Rockets are looking for a rare repeat in the MAC. Despite being the clear favorites in the West Division, the outlook in the East is way more competitive. Nine of the MAC’s 12 teams recorded at least five wins in ’22. It seems likely that Toledo, Ohio, and Miami (Ohio) are the top dogs, while there should be another year of parity in the middle with teams fighting to get bowl eligible at the six-win plateau. Doc’s Sports will look in-depth at the MAC below.
NCAA Football Predictions: Week 0 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Joey House - 8/23/2023
After months of hype and hoopla, spring games and transfer portals, college football is back. In a creation that only the NCAA could come up with, Week 0 features a handful of games to get you primed for the upcoming season. Since they usually play in the final regular season game against Army, it's only fitting that Navy kicks off the season taking on No. 13 Notre Dame in Dublin, Ireland. Elsewhere in Top 25 action, No. 6 USC begins their final season in the Pac-12 when they host in-state rival San Jose State. One of the big questions of the preseason is if Trojan QB Caleb Williams can win a second Heisman and join Buckeye great Archie Griffin as the only two-time winner.
2023-24 Conference USA Football Predictions with Betting Odds and Expert Picks
by Matt Zitt - 8/23/2023
Realignment in college football has disintegrated the Pac-12 and has changed the Power 5 Conferences for the future landscape of the sport. Smaller conferences, such as Conference USA, have been hit just as hard. The league lost three teams to the Sun Belt prior to 2022 and had six teams bounce for the American Athletic Conference this offseason. A pair of FBS newcomers joined Conference USA; Jacksonville State and Sam Houston, while Liberty and New Mexico State ditched the potential independent route in favor of Conference USA. Doc’s Sports will break down the conference below.
