College Basketball Prediction From Jason Sharpe:
Take 'Under' 161.0 Penn State at Michigan (6:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 5)
These two teams have gone below the posted total in four straight games and overall have done so by an average of 15 points per game. Penn State has had five games this year lined with a total of 156 points or more and all five went 'under' that total. Michigan comes into this game having below the total in 7 of their last 9 games and are ranked #1 defensively in CBB points per possession allowed on the season. College Basketball Prediction From Strike Point Sports:
Take #880 Illinois State over Drake (8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 5)
The Redbirds return home looking to sweep the Bulldogs after an awful performance against Southern Illinois mid-week. The home team is 9-2 SU on the season and have nearly a +10-point differential on the season, part of that coming in their 73-56 win in Des Moines last month. This just isn't a good matchup for this Drake outfit who haven't been able to get stops on the defensive end. NHL Prediction From Scott Rickenbach:
Take 'Over' 6.0 Los Angeles at Las Vegas (10 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 5)
This is an estimated total as of Tuesday afternoon but I am expecting this one to be set at 6 goals. This is the latest game on Thursday and final game before the Olympic break. Both teams will be in a B2B with Vegas hosting Vancouver Wednesday night and the Kings hosting Seattle that same night as well. This puts stress on the defensemen and the goalie situation for each team and that will also help our cause here. Prior to that Wednesday night action, the Kings last 6 games have averaged totaling 6 goals each. Couple that with the recent trending of Vegas and I like this one to get well past 6 goals. The Golden Knights, prior to Wednesday, have seen 18 of their last 23 games total at least 6 goals! Also, 16 of those 18 games reached at least the 7-goal mark and I project this one will too! Remember their first meeting between these teams in Vegas this season was a 6-5 Kings win in a shootout. Another high-scoring battle on tap here as well. Take Over 6 goals in Las Vegas. Soccer Prediction From Doc's Sports:
Take Tijuana (-165) over Puebla (10 p.m., Friday Feb. 6)
Matchday 5 starts in Tijuana at Estadio Caliente. The Xolos of Tijuana enter the weekend at No. 8 on the table, but there is a great chance to move up with three points here as there are four teams above them but within two points. Tijuana have been literally unbeatable at home since the start of last season. They usually beat middle-to-lower table sides like this at home but draw against the heavy hitters of the Liga. So far they have earned only two points from two home matches. Their first match of the season was here vs. mighty America, and they earned their point. Then the next home match was vs. San Luis, and they had victory snatched from them with an extra time goal by the visitors and had to settle for a 1-1 draw. But like we stated, they are going to beat most bad sides here, and Puebla is once again towards the bottom of the table after four matches after finishing dead last in the Apertura season that concluded in December. Tijuana have looked very good so far and they have earned a point in every match but with three draws and a win. They seemed to have fixed their road issues and they should once again be dominant at home. We will happily lay the juice here and probably sprinkle a small bet on the -1.5 goals for the home side as well. College Basketball Prediction From Nick Menken:
Take Nebraska over Rutgers (Noon, Saturday, Feb. 7)
We kick off Saturday morning with Big Ten action as Nebraska heads to Rutgers to take on the Scarlet Knights. Rutgers enters this game at 9-13 on the season and in the middle of a rough stretch, having lost five straight games. Their latest loss came on the road at USC, falling 78-75, and they’re just 3-7 over their last ten games. Offensively, this team has struggled to find consistency, failing to score 80 points in seven straight contests. Nebraska, meanwhile, comes in at an impressive 20-2 on the season. They’re coming off a tough 78-69 home loss to Illinois on Sunday, but this feels like the perfect get-right spot for them in conference play. This is not a team that lets one loss snowball, especially against an opponent that’s clearly trending in the wrong direction. The Cornhuskers are averaging right around 80 points per game this season and have shown they can score in a variety of ways. Rutgers simply hasn’t shown the offensive firepower to keep up, especially if Nebraska gets out in transition and controls the tempo early. Everything lines up for a strong bounce-back performance from Nebraska here. I expect them to come out focused, aggressive, and ready to make a statement on the road. Lay the points with Nebraska on Saturday as they take care of business against a struggling Rutgers team. College Basketball Prediction From Robert Ferringo:
Take Florida State (+4.5) over Notre Dame (4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 7)
We have racked up 85 of 142 wins in this space (61%) and I am 130-85 (61%) with my newsletter plays over the last 215 weeks. I’m going to keep chopping against Notre Dame. This team is a mess. The coach is going to be fired and the season has gone sideways. I really believe they shouldn’t be favored over anyone in the ACC right now. The Irish are. likely going to get demolished by Louisville on Wednesday and won’t have much confidence coming into this game. Florida State has been taking baby steps. They have won three of their last four games, with just a three-point loss at SMU as the only blemish. They also have respectable losses against Wake Forest and Duke. FSU has played a challenging schedule and they are a younger, athletic team. I think they are playing to get better and on more of an upswing than this veteran Irish squad that has been a big disappointment. Super Bowl Prop Prediction From Raphael Esparza:
Take Touchdown (-145) First Score of the Game (6:30 p.m., Sunday Feb. 8)
I know this line is a bit too high, but I don't see a Field Goal being the first score. Look at both offenses and look at home they got to Super Bowl Sunday. On the Seattle side I can see Darnold throwing a TD pass to JSN or Kenneth Walker III running in a touchdown. For New England it's one guy and one guy only. Give me Drake Maye to throw a TD pass early. I know this total hasn't moved much since the opening number but I see points of plenty happening on Super Bowl Sunday and a TD will be the first score of the game.
