Thursday Night Football Picks: Los Angeles Rams vs Seattle Seahawks

We have a good one on Thursday Night, y’all! Both the Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams are 11-3 on the season and essentially playing for the division. LA, of course, won at home 21-19 a month ago over the Hawks.
Seattle had every chance in the world to win that game. They dominated time of possession 38-22, total plays 79-50, and yards per possession 35 to 23. The Seahawks had 26 first downs to the Rams’ 12.
Everyone likes to point out the four interceptions thrown by Sam Darnold in contrast to zero from Matt Stafford, but the latter only had 130 yards passing, less than half of his season average in 2025.
It was the red zone, though, where the Rams really made the difference, scoring three touchdowns in four visits to just one in four trips by the Seahawks. If you remember correctly, though, Darnold had a chance to drive down the field to set up a much more makable game-winning field goal, and he kinda choked.
Yeah, the kicker could have made a 61-yarder. However, with nearly two minutes on the clock to start the drive, Darnold must do better, especially if he wants to play in the Super Bowl.
I was sitting there almost in shock. The team was moving in slow motion, and it just didn’t feel like he had that command over his guys, the intensity they obviously needed to move with some urgency.
Will the Rams be without their red zone standout, Davante Adams, on this short week? I can’t get that picture out of my head with him flat on his stomach, face down from a hamstring pull.
I wouldn’t play him because if the Rams lose here, it’s not the end of the world for them. They have Atlanta and Arizona left, and the #1 Wild Card spot would play the winner of the NFC South, which, right now, looks like the easiest possible matchup.
The Seahawks, conversely, don’t have a strong Wild Card tiebreaker right now due to divisional losses. Then, you have the Niners and Packers looking to steal their spot.
Seattle finishes the regular season with two road games in Charlotte against the Panthers and in Santa Clara against those 49ers.
It’s definitely a bigger game for the Seahawks.

Los Angeles Rams (pk) at Seattle Seahawks (pk)
Point Total: 44
I’ve been monitoring the weather up there in the Pacific Northwest, and as of Tuesday afternoon, there’s only a 5% chance of rain at kickoff. Most of it is forecast for the next couple of days.
I actually don’t mind rain if I want to bet the over, but the wind looks like we could be around 17MPH, which, if it hypothetically stays that way, the under would hit about 60% of the time.
Moneyline Odds
Rams: –112
Seahawks: -108
Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks Betting Analysis
This is a challenging game to predict. I want to lean toward the Seahawks’ way. They need the win more. LA played a much more physical game on Sunday against Detroit. Puka Nacua was also a bit banged up in that one, along with Adams.
We obviously like Stafford more if it comes down to a final drive, but Seattle thoroughly outplayed them in the first meeting in LA.
I love Lumen Stadium to be super rambunctious, just like the days of the Legion of Boom.
Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks Betting Pick
This total, though, is too low for not one but two of the best quarterbacks in the league. I was trying to hold out and find a 43.5, but it doesn’t look like it will happen today. Even if the wind picks up slightly from where it is now, LA is such a powerhouse on offense. Darnold has JSM, while Stafford still has his #1 Nacua, who can exploit the inconsistent Seahawks' defense.
