Crazy, Fun, Wacky, Wild and Weird Super Bowl Props

The Super Bowl offers thousands of football related wagers, but what would the Super Bowl really be without the extra props? While betting on football is fun, how many times a year can you bet on seemingly countless non-football props? Anything from what color Rihanna’s hair at halftime will be, to how long the National Anthem will last, to a power outage during the broadcast. There has never been a better time to have a squad ride with your friends and family, as there is no thrill like cheering at Rihanna, just because she has her usual dark hair on stage. Additionally, using multiple sportsbooks to take advantage of the best lines and odds is critical in sports betting, and is even more important here. These odds will drastically vary from book to book, so make sure you aren’t leaving money on the table. Without further ado, look at some crazy, fun, wacky, wild and weird Super Bowl props, with predictions, of course.

Length of National Anthem Under 119.5 Seconds +200
Let’s start this off strong. Chris Stapleton is slated to sing the Star Spangled Banner at Super Bowl LVII, and we’re getting some solid plus money on his Under. The Over/Under of just more than 2 minutes is a fair place to start, as the anthem has gone Under this mark in 4 of the last 10 years, but the last time the Over has chased was in 2018. While country singers traditionally have a slow style of music, they tend to have quick Super Bowl anthems. It’s a bold one, but I’ll take a shot at a quick Stapleton anthem.
Which song will Rihanna play first at halftime?- Stay +600
There are a few options as to which song Rihanna will open up the show with. The front runner is ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ at +150, followed by ‘Run this Town’ at +350, then my pick, ‘Stay’ at +600. Don’t get me wrong, ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ at plus money feels like a steal. And considering the electric atmosphere in the stadium, it would be a good fit. However, Rihanna consistently opens up her concerts with ‘Stay’,. And while it’s a much slower song than some of her other hits, a “start slow and build up the hype” mantra is one Rihanna lives by, forcing me to lean in ‘Stay’s’ direction. Grab that +600 while you still can.
Halftime Show Guest Appearance- Drake -150
Sticking to the halftime show, I’ll happily lay some chalk on the 6 God Drake to make an appearance. While Rihanna is the only headliner, there is no doubt some other A list musicians will make appearances. There is no better pick than Drake, as he and Rihanna have collaborated on numerous occasions. He is not one to shy away from the moment, as he has millions wagered on the Super Bowl, and he will be one of the many centers of attention. These are solid odds for a slam dunk of a bet.
Gatorade Color: Orange +250
There are a few reasons I’m leaning towards Orange at Super Bowl LVII. First, Blue (+300) has been the color of choice for 2 years straight, and I expect the victors to change it up. The favorite, Yellow/Green (+175) is certainly an intriguing choice, but, honestly, who likes Yellow Gatorade? Green is an uncommon color, and despite that being the Eagles primary color, I’ll pass. Orange was the color of choice when Andy Reid and the Chiefs won the 2020 Super Bowl, and is just a solid pick overall, especially when considering the negative aspects of the other top contenders.
Final Score to have occurred in a prior Super Bowl- Yes +470
I know this is getting dangerously close to a football bet, but the odds are too juicy to turn down. In the past, there have been 56 Super Bowls, and 54 different scores. While that wouldn’t necessarily fill you with confidence, every year it becomes marginally more likely that another duplicate will appear. Of the most common NFL scores, 6 of the top 11 have happened in the big game. And considering they each have around a 2% chance of hitting, that’s a 12% chance right there. Once you add in all the other unique scores, this bet will be a nailbiter, has a solid payout, and has a realistic chance of hitting. What more can you ask for?
Who Will the MVP thank first? Teammates +120
I’ve saved the best for last, as I am in utter shock that we are getting plus money on ‘Teammates.’ The last 3 Super Bowl MVPs all thanked their teammates, Cooper Kupp in 2022, Tom Brady in 2021, and Patrick Mahomes in 2020. There is no reason to believe Mahomes will thank someone else this time around, but if the Eagles get the job done, Hurts could go either way. He certainly has a ‘God first’ mentality and could cash in ‘Religious Figure’ at +130. However, I won’t be fading any trend here, as the love from quarterbacks towards their teammates has been growing in recent years, and I expect the MVP to share the spotlight with the dozens of men that helped him get there.
