STRIKE POINT SPORTS couldn’t come through with his top football play last week as Texas blew a double-digit lead and fell in overtime. It was a rare college football top play miss from “Mr. Saturday,” but they are still 4-1, +1,900 with their college football top plays so far this season and they will have a 5-Unit College Football Play this weekend. SPS has hit back-to-back 6-Unit NFL Plays, and this week they will go for three top play winners in a row with a 7-Unit NFL Play on Sunday. Strike Point Sports has rung the bell for six of eight winning overall football seasons (+15,300). Free College Football Prediction From Raphael Esparza:
Take 'Over' 62.5 UTSA at Middle Tennessee State (7:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 30)
The MTSU Blue Raiders come back home after a huge road nonconference win last week, beating the Miami Hurricanes 45-31. And Friday, we should see another high scoring game. The UTSA Roadrunners also won last week, beating Texas Southern 52-24, and all their games this year have gone 'Over' the total. Really thought this total would have been around 65, so I believe this game has value right now. Throw in that MTSU are 4-1 O/U following a SU win and the Roadrunners are 7-0 O/U in their last 7 road games. Free MLB Prediction From Doc's Sports:
Take #913 Arizona over San Francisco (10 p.m., Friday, Sept. 30)
The Giants have righted the ship once they were out of it and are always a tough team to beat at home, but the Diamondbacks will be up to the challenge. Arizona has stabilized their organization, and their young talent is starting to bear out the fruits. They will hit Alex Cobb hard and take game 1 of this series on Friday night. Do not miss out on Doc’s Sports weekend card, featuring football selections you do not want to miss. 6 of 8 winning weeks to open the season, and now is the time to jump on board with a veteran handicapper of 51 years of experience. Free College Football Prediction From Doug Upstone:
Take #175 Kentucky (+6.5) over Mississippi (Noon, Saturday, Oct. 1)
We have a battle of unbeaten in the SEC as 4-0 Ole Miss hosts 4-0 Kentucky. The Rebels feature one of the top running games in the country, which ranks 4th, averaging 280.8 yards a game. Mississippi is far from one-dimensional and adds 207 yards passing. Despite their record, the Wildcats average less than 100 yards a game rushing. However, that is a bit fictitious because less than mobile quarterback Will Levis has -91 yards in sacks and another -37 yards rushing, which depletes the total considerably. Levis makes up for it by throwing the pigskin, where Kentucky averages 296 yards passing. Ole Miss has won the past two meetings by three points or less, and I’m expecting that to continue in a thrilling game. You should note, conference home favorites of 3.5 to 10 points like Ole Miss which average 230 or more YPG rushing, facing a team that averages less than 100 YPG rushing, are an abysmal 3-22 ATS. Normally, the stronger running team would have a spread of 13 or more points, thus other factors come into play for a lower number and underdogs cover. Free College Football Prediction From Robert Ferringo:
Take #164 Utah (-10.5) over Oregon State (2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1)
It was another free play winner last week with Utah, and I am now 33-16 (67%) with my free plays in this space over the last 49 weeks. My goal was to hit over 60 percent for a full year with these free predictions. And since we’ve already achieved that, let’s try to sweep these next three and get to 69% for a full year! I’m going right back to the Utes here. Oregon State is in a clear letdown spot here. They wound up and took a big swing at USC last week, losing 17-14 on a Trojans touchdown with just over one minute to play. Oregon State had four turnovers and a missed field goal, and the game ended with an INT just as they were about to get into range for a game-tying field goal attempt. Brutal stuff. Now they must roll into Salt Lake City to face a focused and motivated Utes group. Moreover, Utah has revenge after Oregon State dealt the Utes their only Pac-12 loss last season. The last team Utah had to face with revenge was SDSU, and that one was a 35-7 beat down that was never in question. I don’t love the early kickoff time. The Utes are 18-7 ATS in their last 25 conference games, and they are 6-1 ATS at home. The public likes the Beavers, but I see a beat down. Free College Football Prediction From Arun Shiva:
Take #153 Iowa State (-3.5) vs Kansas (3:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1)
No. 17 Baylor surged to a 31-14 lead, then held off a late Iowa State rally to score a 31-24 win in the Big 12 Conference opener for both teams in Ames, Iowa. The Cyclones were a -2.5 favorite in that game and find themselves a -3.5 favorite vs the red-hot Kansas Jayhawks, who are 3-0 for the first time in forever. Interestingly enough, 70% of the public is on Kansas as we write this analysis on Monday, and we think that the Cyclones show up here as they are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games following a ATS loss, 21-8 ATS in their last 29 games following a straight up loss, and the Jayhawks are 16-37 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, and 6-19-1 ATS in their last 26 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game. Let's roll with Iowa State on Saturday. If you don’t have an account at Doc’s Sports, sign up now and get $60 in free premium member picks click here. Free College Football Prediction From Strike Point Sports:
Take #730 Duke (-2.5) over Virginia (7:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1st)
This is a nice bounce-back spot for a solid Duke Blue Devils team following their game with the Kansas Jayhawks last weekend. The Cavaliers have done a solid job against the run thus far this season, but Duke has a dynamic rushing attack that will just be too much in this matchup. On the other side of the ball, Virginia will struggle to run against this Blue Devils defensive front as they are only giving up 3.4 yards per carry on the season. The Blue Devils rushing attack will get the game going early and open up opportunities for Duke to throw the ball and grab some early points and get the home crowd involved. Lay the points in this matchup. If you don’t have an account at Doc’s Sports, sign up now and get $60 in free premium member picks click here. Free NFL Football Prediction From Jason Sharpe:
Take 'Under' 50 Seattle at Detroit (1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 2)
The Seattle Seahawks come into this tied for last in the NFC in total points scored, averaging just 16 points per game on the season. The Seahawks are led by quarterback Geno Smith, a guy who most would agree ranks near the bottom of the league among all NFL starting quarterbacks. They will go up here against a Detroit Lions team that's shown to have a solid offense so far this season, but the Lions likely could be without their two best offensive players in this one as Amon St. Brown and D'Andre Swift are dealing with injuries. The Lions offense looked completely different after St. Brown hurt his ankle in their loss last Sunday to Minnesota as they failed to score in the final quarter of the game and that was the first quarter this season that the Detroit offense didn't score a touchdown. The Lions defense fell apart late in their last game, but before that they did hold a solid Vikings offense to just 14 points for nearly 3.5 quarters of play. Detroit does have a solid run game, and I expect them to lean on that here in this one against the Seahawks. Play 'under' the total in this game. Free NFL Football Prediction From Allen Eastman:
Take #280 San Francisco (-2.5) over Los Angeles Rams (8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 3)
I won last week on Monday Night Football with the Cowboys. I will go with another MNF pick here. San Francisco is just 1-2 on the season. They are favored here against the defending Super Bowl champions. San Francisco will want to get revenge for losing to the Rams last year in the NFC Championship Game. That loss snapped a six-game winning streak in the series by the 49ers. They have dominated the Rams. San Francisco is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings and 6-1 ATS in the last seven. The Rams are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a losing record, and they are just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games in San Francisco. San Francisco is 14-4 ATS in its last 18 games on Monday Night Football. Take the 49ers here.
