They look to have an even better season in 2025-26, and they have put in the offseason work to make that happen! Doc’s NHL will rarely release a favorite above -150, and they concentrate on value underdogs, slight favorites and totals. They feel that they have an amazing read on some teams heading into the season, and they are several steps ahead of the oddsmakers, who will be releasing many weak lines with their hands full with football season. Doc’s expects to get off to a hot start, and Early Bird Specials are now available! The 2025-26 season starts October 7!
ROBERT FERRINGO is coming off a +1,680 football weekend and has bombed the books for five of six winning football weekends. Robert is also on a +5,230 MLB run over the last two weeks and he scored a 7-Unit Daily Prop winner on Sunday (Dyami Brown ‘Over’). Robert has also racked up THREE straight winning hockey seasons and has been one of the top NHL handicappers in the country over the last two decades, burning the books for 11 of 16 winning years. NFL Prediction From Vernon Croy:
Take Miami (+11.5) over Buffalo (8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 18)
Now let's get to your NFL comp play for Thursday between the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo is off to a hot start and this is a hungry Miami team coming into this game. These two teams usually play each other extremely close like their last meeting where Buffalo won by just three points as 6-point favorites. Miami is coming off a close six-point loss against New England and before that they were blown out at Indianapolis. This Miami team is much better than the record indicates and I do expect them to keep this game close here Thursday. Tagovailoa Just completed 81.3% of his passes against New England, putting up 315 passing yards but they still came up short. I believe that this is a tough spot for Buffalo and Allen completed just 56% of his passes putting up 148 passing yards against New York. So we are taking the Miami Dolphins against the spread plus 11.5 over Buffalo. If you don’t have an account at Doc’s Sports sign up now and get $60 in premium member picks click here. College Football Prediction From Raphael Esparza:
Take ‘Over’ 45.5 Iowa at Rutgers (8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 19)
If this game was being played in Iowa we probably wouldn't even look at the total but this Big Ten matchup in playing in New Jersey. Rutgers is coming off a cupcake win over Norfolk 60-10 and their first 3 games (all at home) they are averaging 46.3ppg. In the Rutgers Scarlet Knights last 7 games, all 7 of them have gone 'Over' and Rutgers last 7 games against Big Ten teams 6 of them have cashed the 'Over'. Look for Rutgers QB Athan Kaliakmanis to continue to sling the ball all over the field and I see him having a good game just like he did against Miami Ohio. College Football Prediction From Nick Menken:
Take Iowa (-2.5) over Rutgers (8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 19)
Iowa, just -2.5 on the road against Rutgers, looks like a sharp buy-low spot for a Hawkeyes team that thrives in gritty, low-scoring matchups exactly the kind of game this projects to be. While neither offense is explosive, Iowa has the edge in trench play and defensive consistency, especially in forcing third-down stops and winning field position battles. Quarterback Cade McNamara is gaining confidence with each start, and Iowa’s run game has shown just enough juice to keep Rutgers' front seven honest. On the other side, Rutgers has yet to face a defense as disciplined and physical as Iowa’s. And with their offense still shaky in pass protection and finishing drives, they’ll struggle to sustain momentum over four quarters. Kirk Ferentz's teams are built for road games like this: ugly, slow-tempo slugfests where execution and special teams matter more than style. With the spread sitting under a field goal, Iowa just needs to win and they’ve been in this exact spot dozens of times before under Ferentz. Expect a 20–13 or 17–10 type of game, with Iowa pulling away late and covering the -2.5 with defensive dominance and superior coaching. College Football Prediction From Robert Ferringo:
Take #324 Miami (-7.5) over Florida (7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20)
I am now 54-30 (64%) with my last 84 Doc’s Sports newsletter plays. We have racked up 80 of 122 wins in this space (66%) and I am 125-71 (64%) with my newsletter plays over the last 195 weeks. I might have to admit that I was wrong about Miami. I still think that Mario Cristobal will find a way to drive the season off a cliff. But right now the Hurricanes do look like one of the best teams in the country. It mainly comes down to one thing: Miami has one of the three or four best offensive lines in the nation. That allows their playmakers to make plays on offense, and that helps the defense unleash the hounds. Florida doesn’t look capable of slowing down these hot Hurricanes. The Gators have lost back-to-back games. They’ve been physically beaten up by South Florida and LSU and I don’t think the Gators have the stamina for a third straight physical game. Miami and Florida have a common opponent this year, South Florida. USF beat the Gators in Gainesville while Miami demolished USF 49-12. That really tells the tale of where these two are at. The books are trying to bait action with this spread. It’s not enough points. Miami beat the Gators 41-17 at UF last August. This looks like a better Hurricanes team and I think they are going to lay the wood here at home on Saturday. College Football Prediction From Scott Spreitzer:
Take #312 TCU (-6.5) over SMU (Noon, Saturday, Sept. 20)
TCU was a sharp hit right out of the blocks on Sunday afternoon. The Horned Frogs opened a 5-point favorite and were bet up immediately. I agree with the move and was part of the move. TCU will have revenge on their mind for a 66-42 loss to SMU last season. The Horned Frogs are piling up yardage on the ground and through the air. QB Josh Hoover has hit 76% of his passes with six TDs and one INT! As far as SMU, while I'm sure it was tough to get fully motivated for Missouri State last week, SMU looked bad and trailed 10-0 with 3+ minutes to go in the half and they were shaky on defense in Week 1, allowing 600 yards in an OT loss to Baylor. TCU lit up SMU through the air in last year’s loss but SMU benefited from three non-offensive TDs. I'm betting the Horned Frogs' offense will be too tough for a leaky SMU defense. I'm laying the points with TCU on Saturday. If you don’t have an account at Doc’s Sports sign up now and get $60 in premium member picks click here. College Football Prediction From Scott Rickenbach:
Take #319 UNLV (-2.5) over Miami-OH (Noon, Saturday, Sept. 20)
Your CFB complimentary selection from Rickenbach for this weekend! This line is around a 2.5 at the time of this write-up and only having to lay small points with the road team seems generous when you consider that the line opened at 5.5 and has fallen big via betting action from its open through Tuesday afternoon. Intriguing line move as UNLV opened with a couple of games against weaker teams and then beat UCLA. Even though the Bruins are a mess and have since fired their head coach, UCLA is certainly still a much bigger program than the Redhawks. The point is that the Rebels still deserve some credit for their hot start to the season! UNLV comes in 3-0 on the season while Miami OH is 0-2 on the season. Rebels have scored 30+ in all 3 games and Redhawks averaging 8.5 ppg thus far. Both teams are off a bye and this is a Redhawks team playing their home opener now. However, I don't trust the Redhawks offense and expect the Rebels to pull away as this game goes along. UNLV also has a bye on deck so this is their only game in a span of 3 weeks and that is a great situation as this game is sure to be their full focus. Per the above, this looks like a great spot for the road favorite to cover the generously low point spread here. College Football Prediction From Strike Point Sports:
Take #386 Western Kentucky (-10.5) over Nevada (7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20)
Western Kentucky needed a few weeks to get their QB/Coordinator combo in sync, and this weekend should prove that. The Nevada Wolfpack haven't shown any reason to be scared of them and WKU's offense should find consistent success. The Wolfpack have struggled against Sacramento State and Middle Tennessee as they only scored a total of 33 points against inferior opponents. WKU lost at Toledo last weekend but went off for 96 total points in their first two home games of the season. Now back at home the Hilltoppers should have little difficulty covering this double-digit line. Nevada will struggle in the Mountain West all season while WKU sits in the top half of Conference USA. This is definitely a mismatch. Lay the points here. If you don’t have an account at Doc’s Sports sign up now and get $60 in premium member picks click here. Existing clients call or email today and we will give you a discount on premium package. Call 1-866-238-6696 or email service@docsports.com and mention newsletter discount. Offer expires at 6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 26.
College Football Prediction From Doc's Sports:
Take ‘Under’ 54.5 Nevada at Western Kentucky (7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20)
We went against Nevada last week for a free pick winner, as Middle Tennessee State +9 beat them straight-up. We will go back to well again on September 20 with a Nevada game, but this time take the under. Nevada has major issues at quarterback, and they have trouble scoring points this season. In their first three games they have scored 11, 17, and 13 points. WKU is a higher scoring team, but I expect Nevada to dictate the pace of this game and keep the scoring low. Take the under in this game. Do not miss out on Doc’s Sports Weekend card featuring top plays in Football, WNBA, and NASCAR. Sign-up now and let 54 years of handicapping experience work for you. Soccer Prediction From Doc's Sports:
Take San Jose (-140) over St. Louis (10:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20)
San Jose is an MLS side we follow very closely, and we like them to win this one going away. The Earthquake are in Position No. 9 on the table in the Western Conference, and they are one point ahead of Salt Lake entering the week. So this is pretty much a must win, especially they have two games in hand above Salt Lake, who have a tough home matchup with LAFC on Wednesday. No matter the result of that one, they need three points here. St. Louis is essentially out of the postseason running. Both sides have seen struggles lately, but San Jose has faced a much tougher schedule and they have played better overall on the pitch. So, they have better form and home pitch, not to mention better quality players and more hunger for the full points. A draw here would be equal to a loss for the home side that desperately needs points, so we think they go all out to get the win. If you don’t have an account at Doc’s Sports sign up now and get $60 in premium member picks click here. Existing clients call or email today and we will give you a discount on premium package. MLB Prediction From Griffin Murphy:
Take Milwaukee (-1.5) over St. Louis (2:15 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 21)
Milwaukee comes into this game 91-59 on the season, 29-17 in divisional matchups, and 43-32 on the road. St. Louis is now 21-23 in divisional play this season, 3-7 in their last 10 games, and 73-78 on the season. Milwaukee needs to continue winning games in the NL Central with Chicago right on their tails. St. Louis is pretty much done in the race and really not playing for much. This is a Sunday afternoon game where Milwaukee plays their best baseball despite being on the road. We expect Milwaukee to come into St. Louis and show no mercy and run up the scoreboard. Let's drill the Brew Crew here on the run line to cover our 1.5-run differential. If you don’t have an account at Doc’s Sports sign up now and get $60 in premium member picks click here. NFL Prediction From Jason Sharpe:
Take #479 Detroit (+5) over Baltimore (8:15 p.m., Monday, Sept. 22)
I always look to back what I call solid underdogs when they are getting more than a field goal in the NFL and I think we have a great example of that here in this matchup. The criteria I like to use is find a team considered by all to be average or better and who have an above average offense as well as these teams tend to not only keep things close but also do a good job late in games against prevent defenses. Detroit comes into this contest with once again one of the best offenses in the league this year after putting up an NFL season high 52 points last week. The Lions have also been an excellent team to bet on under Dan Campbell as they have the best ATS record in the league since he took over their team back in 2021. Take Detroit plus the points in this one. If you don’t have an account at Doc’s Sports sign up now and get $60 in premium member picks click here. NHL Futures Prediction From Doc's Sports:
Take New Jersey Devils ‘Under’ 100.5 Season Points (-115)
The New Jersey Devils season derailed last season because of injuries, and that has been the story for this injury-prone squad the last two seasons. Goalie Jacob Markstrom was injured in late January, and the team never really looked the same the rest of the season even though he returned after a month, with the season-ending injury to Jack Hughes further compounding the Devils tailspin to finish the season, that ended to the Carolina Hurricanes in five games in the postseason. This team had the players and the division to weather these injuries, but they weren’t able to make any headway and finished third in the Metro Division and only two points ahead of the Columbus Blue Jackets. This was the worst division in the NHL and could be again, and the Devils looked like the cream of the crop in the first half of the season. However, they haven’t been able to put together a full season the last two years, and they already have key injuries entering the season. If they stay healthy, they could earn over 100 points, and only one team last season, the Washington Capitals, earned that distinction in the Metro. But we think there a better chance that this team is once again inconsistent, and it is doubtful they will enjoy perfect health throughout the year. The Rangers should be back in the playoff mix this season and the Blue Jackets could continue their upward trajectory, so it’s doubtful the division will be as bad as it was last season. We think the Devils will be a playoff team again, but we don’t see them as one of the top teams in the league or a division winner in 2025-26. We think there is value in the under, and sharp bettors have already been hitting this one. We bet it when the odds were released, and we would recommend that you do the same.
