Could we soon see history being made in the NBA or in any professional male sport? News broke late last week that Becky Hammon, the first women to serve as an assistant in the NBA, will interview for the vacant head coach position in Milwaukee. Hammon was the first female assistant coach in NBA history, and in 2015 she coached the San Antonio Spurs Summer League team to a championship beating the New York Knicks.

The Milwaukee Bucks organization clearly seems to hold Hammon in high regard if they are willing to give her an interview. Most NBA media experts are calling the Bucks head coach opening a prestigious opportunity because of the rising young star of Giannis Antetokounmpo. Nevertheless, whomever gets the Bucks head coaching job has great talent on the roster, and they could be a playoff bound team in the East for a while.

With the news breaking about Hammon getting an interview for the Bucks head coach opening, it didn't take long for online sports books to jump on this betting opportunity. Do I believe Hammon will land a head-coaching job in the NBA? YES, YES, YES!! Do I believe she is going to land the Milwaukee Bucks heading coaching job this year? I'm sorry but I don't. I would be shocked if she doesn't land a head-coaching job in the NBA in the next two years, and maybe it will be with the San Antonio Spurs, but this year I just don't see it happening. Look for Monty Williams or Mike Budenholzer to be the next Milwaukee Bucks head coach.
