Brace yourselves for another big night of NBA action with our carefully chosen prop bets. With a lot of basketball to digest and research to be had, we have your back. We had our worst week of the season as our picks went 1-4 last week (24-21 overall), and we will try and improve on that mark this week. Friday night will feature an eight-game slate, with the Celtics, Lakers, Heat, Warriors, and Clippers all in action. Doc’s Sports will break down some of the best plays on the hardwood below.

CJ McCollum, New Orleans Pelicans, OVER 3.5 assists (+110)

The Pelicans head to South Beach on Friday night to take on the Heat, and our first target is CJ McCollum’s assist total. He enters tonight’s matchup averaging 4.3 APG and 4.1 APG on the road. We are getting good value at plus money for this total in a contest that is a three-point spread. With a projected tight game, everyone should see their normal amount of playing time. Over the past 15 games played, he has had four assists or more in seven games, including in each of the last three with totals of four, eight, and five. I am confident McCollum continues his strong court vision and playmaking tonight against Miami.

LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers, OVER 25.5 points (-110)

King James has a favorable matchup tonight against a depleted 76ers squad. Over the last 10 games, Philadelphia has allowed the sixth most points to the small forward position. LeBron has also covered this line in seven of his last 10 games and three of his last four home games. James is averaging 28.1 PPG over his last 10 games and dropping 24.7 PPG at home during the 2023-24 season. He is also shooting 53.2% for the season, which is above his 50.6% career average. Look for LeBron and company to come out swinging tonight against the 76ers.

Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors, OVER 16.5 points (-120)

Look for Thompson and the Warriors to put up a ton of points tonight against the Indiana Pacers, which should be a high-scoring affair with the over/under set at 240 points. The Pacers play at one of the higher paces in the NBA, so expect a lot of up and down the court with a ton of shot attempts. Thompson has covered this line in five out of his last six games, while averaging 17.8 PPG over his last 10. He is shooting nearly 40% from beyond the arc and should be able to get off plenty of shots tonight to cover this line.

Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics, UNDER 28.5 points (-110)

I am targeting Tatum and the under on his point total in a matchup against the lowly Detroit Pistons. He is due for a lower point total after averaging 30 points over his last five games. In what should be a blow out, it is highly likely that the Celtics bench all their star players early in the second half. With tonight being Kristaps Porzingis’ second game back from injury, the Celtics should be feeding him the rock to get him back into a rhythm. I am looking for Tatum’s teammates to pick up the slack in this contest, resulting in a lower scoring night for the former Duke Blue Devil.

Chet Holmgren, Oklahoma City Thunder, OVER 1.5 threes (-110)

The Rookie of the Year candidate has been on quite the run recently. He enters tonight’s matchup on the heels of a 35-point, 14-rebound performance. Holmgren was an efficient 7-13 in three-point shooting in his previous four outings. He has covered this line in three out of his last four games and now gets a depleted Toronto Raptors defense. Toronto’s lack of depth at center to cover the perimeter should leave Holmgren with a bunch of looks from beyond the arc.
