NBA Props Picks: Expert Handicapping for Wednesday 4/3/2024

Brace yourselves for another big night of NBA action with our carefully chosen prop bets. With a lot of basketball to digest and research to be had, we have your back. Our picks went 2-3 last week (29-25 overall) and we will try and improve on that mark this week. Wednesday night will feature a nine-game slate, with Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, and Giannis all in action. Doc’s Sports will break down some of the best plays on the hardwood below.

Dennis Schroder, Brooklyn Nets, OVER 2.5 rebounds (-130)

For my first pick of Wednesday night, I am targeting the Brooklyn Nets’ point guard rebound total. He is averaging four rebounds per game over his last five contests and eclipsed this line in all five of those games. The Indiana Pacers play at such a high pace, there are plenty of rebounding opportunities for guards. Mix in the fact that Indiana is bottom-three in the league in overall rebounding, Schroder should be able to grab three rebounds tonight.

Trey Murphy III, New Orleans Pelicans, OVER 5.5 rebounds (-120)

Four our second selection, we will take Murphy III and his rebound total. He has grabbed at least six rebounds in each of his last five games, including 11 against the Milwaukee Bucks and nine against the Boston Celtics. He has also eclipsed this total in nine out of his last 10 games. Orlando is a solid rebounding squad, but Murphy should be able to keep his hot stretch intact.

Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers, OVER 24.5 points (-105)

Davis and the Lakers will take on a very weak defense in the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night. He enters the contest averaging 24.6 PPG, 12.7 RPG, and 3.5 APG, while shooting 55.4% from the floor. He has eclipsed this total in three out of his last 10 games, and he should eat tonight against the inferior Wizards. Davis has exceeded this point total 38 times through the 71 games that he has appeared in this year. On defense, the Wizards have allowed 122.8 points per game, which is the worst throughout the NBA. The Lakers took on Washington in late February, and Davis dropped 40 points. There is always a blowout factor when playing the Wizards, but look for Davis to have a huge game offensively.

Jrue Holiday, Boston Celtics, OVER 4.5 assists (-130)

I like Holiday in this spot against the OKC Thunder on Wednesday night. He has reached five assists in three of his last five games and the Thunder rank 18th in the NBA in giving up assists. The Thunder are one of the teams in the NBA that play at a higher pace than most, which is why the over/under is one of the highest totals of the night at 231.5 points. There should be a high volume of scoring, assists, and rebounding.

Jalen Suggs, Orlando Magic, OVER 5.5 rebounds + assists (-110)

Suggs has been a pivotal piece in the Orlando Magic’s offense on a nightly basis and I am taking him to reach six rebounds + assists on Wednesday night. He enters the contest averaging 12.4 PPG, 3.1 RPG, and 2.7 APG. Over his last 10 games, his rebounds have taken a hit with only 2.1 RPG, but his assist numbers are higher at 3.7 APG. He should not have a problem against the New Orleans Pelicans backcourt, and there is no reason to hit the under button on Suggs’ props for tonight’s contest.

Mike Conley, Minnesota Timberwolves, OVER 2.5 threes (+125)

Our last selection of the night will be the Minnesota Timberwolves’ point guard and his three-point total. Even though he is 36-years-old, he has not lost his shooting touch. He drained three threes against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday and has hit the over on this line in three straight games and seven out of the last 10. Conley will go to battle against the Toronto Raptors, who rank 23rd in three-point percentage allowed since the All-Star break. The Raptors will be on the tail end of a back-to-back, after allowing the Los Angeles Lakers to shoot 43.9% from downtown last night. I like Conley’s chances to reach this line at plus money.
