2025 Gonzaga Bulldogs Basketball Predictions and Odds to Win National Championship

The Gonzaga Bulldogs finished the regular season with a 22-8 overall record and a 13-4 conference record. While this wasn’t the typical dominating Bulldogs team we have witnessed in recent years, they were still one of the best teams in the nation. They opened the season with a 38-point victory against #8 Baylor and then proceeded to win their next four games. Three of their four nonconference losses came to ranked opponents while they finished the season with a 3-3 record against Top 25 opponents. After finishing the regular season on a 7-1 stretch, they opened the conference tournament against San Francisco. They took down the Dons for the third time last season with a nine-point victory in the WCC Semifinal game. Gonzaga then managed to hold off #19 Saint Mary’s to win the WCC Crown. After winning the conference tournament, the Bulldogs secured an 8-Seed in March Madness. They took down 9-Seed Georgia, with a big 21-point opening round victory. Unfortunately, their season would end there after they lost to 1-seed Houston by just five points in the second round.
Gonzaga led the conference with an 86.4 PPG average while shooting over 50% as a team. They led the conference with 19.7 APG, 7.5 SPG, 80.4% FT%, and 27.3 defensive RPG. Their defense did well against the lesser opposition in the WCC. They held opponents to just 69.9 PPG which ranked fourth in the WCC. Opponents shot just 41.4% as a team while they found little success from deep, shooting 30.2% from beyond the arc. They had one of the best point differentials in the country, finishing the year with a +16.4 PPG mark while they led the conference with a +8.7 FG% differential and third with a +5.1% 3P%. Graham Ike led the team with 17.3 PPG and 7.3 RPG while shooting nearly 60% from the floor and 40% from deep. Khalif Battle was second on the team with 13.6 PPG while shooting a team best 93.2% FT%. Braden Huff (11 PPG), Nolan Hickman (10.9 PPG), and Ryan Nembhard (10.5 PPG) also managed double digit PPG. Nembhard was one of the best table setters in the country as he led the team with 9.8 APG.

Key Additions/Losses
Gonzaga is one of those interesting teams that lost significant contributions from last year’s roster but still has some key pieces in place that can keep them in the upper tier of college basketball. Battle, and Hickman both ran out of eligibility which takes away two of Gonzaga’s top four scorers from last season. Not only that, but Nembhard is also in the NBA with the Dallas Mavericks. After losing two of their top four scorers, they also saw quite a few players hit the transfer portal. Ben Gregg remains in the transfer portal after averaging 9.1 PPG for Gonzaga. Michael Ajayi transferred to Butler after scoring 6.5 PPG in 18.9 MPG last season. Joining those two role players are Jun Seok Yeo (Incarnate Word), Dusty Stomer (Grand Canyon), and Graydon Lemke.
The rebuilding phase has taken place as the Bulldogs look to replace all the depth they lost. They signed four star shooting guard Davis Fogle who is the 31st ranked prospect nationally while also signing three-star center Parker Jefferson. Their biggest addition is former 20 PPG scorer Tyon Grant-Foster who averaged 14.8 PPG for Grand Canyon last season and 20.1 PPG in 2023. In addition to Grant-Foster they signed Adam Miller who averaged 9.8 PPG last season for Arizona State and is now joining his fourth team in five years. To wrap up their offseason additions, they also added Jalen Warley who scored 7.5 PPG for Florida State last season.
X-Factors
The Depth- Gonzaga lost a lot. Grant-Foster is going to be a solid scorer who can fill the void left by the top scorers that departed from last year’s team, but the other incomers are not seemingly at the level of departed talent. It is hard to replace two top scorers and one of the best floor generals in the country and this incoming class certainly does not look the part. Miller and Warley will need to get going early in order to compliment Ike and Huff. Even if they do, the team does not have as much depth as it did from a year ago and that may cost them deeper in the season.

2025 Gonzaga Bulldogs Predictions
Gonzaga gets the benefit of playing in one of the easiest conferences in the nation. The WCC typically only showcases two teams capable of making a tournament appearance with Gonzaga and Saint Mary’s the usual threats. That is a huge payoff for the lack of depth on the roster heading into the season. Grant-Foster, Ike, and Huff do have the potential to be one of the best scoring trios in the country with loads of experience and valuable minutes to their names. They should win the WCC so unless you believe in the Gaels, take the -160 because that is only going to swell with every passing game. As for later in the year, this Bulldogs team has experience and could make a deep run, but it appears that their depth may be their Achilles heel this season.
