2025-26 Toronto Raptors Predictions and Odds to Win NBA Finals

The Toronto Raptors are ready to emerge from their rebuild with the hope of competing as soon as this season in a wide-open Eastern Conference. The front office has been patient with their approach, prioritizing interior development rather than aggressive free agency moves. Will this be the season the Raptors can get back to the top of the standings, or will the Canadian fan base have to wait another year before the Raptors return to relevancy?

Toronto Raptors Offseason Recap
The Toronto Raptors had a very quiet offseason. Their biggest addition was through the NBA draft, where Toronto selected Collin Murray-Boyles with the 9th overall pick. Murray-Boyles is a well-rounded 19-year-old who will fit nicely into the Raptors' rotation. He can defend multiple positions, has incredible basketball IQ, and can play several different roles on the offensive end of the court. He thrives in the pick-and-roll and does his best work when he is close to the hoop. His poor shooting will limit his offensive usage this season, but there is plenty of time for Murray-Boyles to develop into a well-rounded NBA talent.
Chris Boucher was the only notable departure this offseason. While his impact on the court has been limited over the last few seasons, it closes the book on the Raptors' championship era. Boucher was the last remaining member from Toronto’s 2019 championship, but the front office decided it was time to let go of the fan favorite.
Toronto Raptors Season Expectations
There is some cautious optimism brewing in Toronto. The Raptors are certainly underdogs to win the NBA Finals this season, but there is reason to believe they can make waves in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. Toronto has gone 55-109 in the last two seasons, but those were injury-plagued campaigns during years where they were clearly tanking for a high draft pick. This year, the Raptors have a healthy squad, a deep roster, and an Eastern Conference lacking polished contenders means the sky is the limit for Toronto.
It all starts with Scottie Barnes. The Raptors have retooled their roster around Barnes, and it is clear he remains the face of the franchise. On paper, Barnes had a down year with his PPG, field goal percentage, and three-point percentage all taking significant hits. However, writing off the former Rookie of the Year now would be unwise. Barnes has evolved significantly since joining the league in 2021 and has turned into a defensive cornerstone for Toronto. He has shown he is capable of guarding big men like Giannis Antetokounmpo, but can also be switched onto the perimeter against the leagues best guards. The solidity he gives on the defensive end of the court is infectious, and the Raptors have no shortage of shooters to surround him with.
When the Raptors blew up their team two seasons ago, Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett were the prized possessions coming back their way. Injuries to both players have disrupted their rhythm, but both appear healthy heading into the new season. Quickley signed a 5-year, $175 million contract in 2024, but hasn’t been healthy since. He suited up for just 33 games last season, dealing with a variety of ailments that kept him in and out of the lineup. When he is on his game, Quickley is a breathtaking guard who can be a real leader on a contending team. His ability to drive and finish in the paint keeps opponents guessing, and he can also spot up on a dime and drain threes at a moment’s notice.
Barrett was born and raised in Toronto, and wants nothing more than to replicate this team’s 2019 success. He has turned into a playmaker since joining the Raptors, posting 5.4 assists last season, having never eclipsed 3 per game during his time with the Knicks. Barrett is an excellent volume shooter for the Raptors to deploy around defensive masterminds like Barnes.
Finally, there is Brandon Ingram. Ingram’s move to Toronto came as a surprise at the trade deadline last season, and he has yet to suit up in a Raptors uniform. Ingram has dealt with numerous injuries throughout his career, but a healthy Ingram is a very dangerous player. He can average 20+ PPG while effectively distributing the basketball. His clutch gene is an attribute that will come in handy, and Ingram is the lethal scorer the Raptors have been missing. Toronto now has four players capable of scoring 20+ PPG this season, and effectively sharing the basketball will be crucial to their success.
Toronto is a very deep team with a couple of superstars capable of taking them over the edge. Gradey Dick continues to develop, while Jakob Poeltl is still a very effective center. The depth and young talent in Toronto will be something to watch this season. It is hard to blame their fans for getting excited about the idea of Toronto competing for tangible rewards in the tail end of the season. A deep playoff run may be too much to ask, but Toronto will certainly be playing meaningful basketball into April.
Toronto Raptors Schedule Breakdown
Toronto opens up its season with a trip to Atlanta, one of four road games in its first six contests. They follow that up with a five-game road trip, the first of three scheduled this season. Early road games will test the Raptors' conditioning in the opening weeks, and Toronto cannot afford to fall behind in the standings. They’ll be on the road for Christmas, but they spend New Year’s north of the border with a five-game home stand bridging 2025 and 2026.
Toronto Raptors Odds
The Raptors went 30-52 last season, but are expected to be much better this year with a 39.5 win total. They have +110 odds to make the playoffs this season, and +105 odds to participate in the play-in tournament. The NBA oddsmakers are fairly confident the Raptors will be an average Eastern Conference team this season, and have priced them accordingly. They aren’t expected to make a splash in the playoffs if they do qualify, as Toronto has +4500 odds to win the East and +20000 odds to win the NBA Finals. In the NBA Cup, the Raptors find themselves with two tough teams in the Cavaliers and Hawks in their group, and have +900 odds to finish on top.
2025-26 Toronto Raptors Season Predictions and Best Bets
The odds imply the Raptors will be better this season, but they are discounting how good this team truly could be. A healthy Raptors side can challenge for a spot in the top four in a wide-open Eastern Conference. They have the star talent, incredible depth, and a hardworking atmosphere that other teams struggle to replicate. They finished 24th in the league, but lost several close games and had an average defensive unit. A bit of roster consistency will vault this team to the next level, and now it is all about how we can best attack their odds.
The first bet to make is for Toronto to make the playoffs at +110. The Eastern Conference is littered with teams just like Toronto, all of whom have serious holes in their game. Toronto’s health is the only concern for this team, as a healthy Raptors side has far more talent than teams with similar win totals. Speaking of win totals, taking an alternative total with the Raptors is a great pick. Chasing longer odds is always the way to go with season-long futures. Taking the over on their 39.5 win total at -110 isn’t bad, but the odds on 45+ (+270) and 50+ (+750) are the way to go. Toronto has one of the easiest schedules in the league, a roster brimming with talent, and its only concern is staying healthy. If their stars stay on the court, 50+ wins for Toronto is well within their reach.
Top Pick: Toronto Raptors to make the Playoffs +110
Pick: Toronto Raptors 45+ Wins +270
Pick: Toronto Raptors 50+ Wins +750
