I rarely play bigger favorites in the NBA, but this one is setup for what looks to be a blowout. The Detroit Pistons just returned home this week from a long west coast road trip where they dropped all four of their games. They will play two games at home then take to the road after Thursday's game to play this one the next night in Boston. Detroit showed some fight early in the year, but the long season seems to be catching up to this rebuilding team as they have now dropped 7 straight ATS and those defeats were by an average of 13 points. The Pistons also just recently traded away Derrick Rose and his loss is huge especially in this back-to-back spot, as Detroit has had decent bench play this season with Rose carrying that group. The Boston Celtics have played a murderous schedule of late, having played 7 straight games against .500 teams or better with 6 of them being on the road. The Celtics also returned home this week after a lengthy road stretch, but the difference is they won't have to travel after Thursday's game to play this contest like the Pistons will have to do. The Celtics have won 6 of their last 7 games against teams with losing records and done so by an average of 15 points per victory. I expect them to be fully focused for this one considering the Pistons already beat them in one of their two head to head games this year, and the other contest was only a two point Celtics win. Take Georgia Tech (+3) over Clemson (8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 12)

Last week we won an easy free play with North Carolina taking out Duke as an underdog. I’ll take a stab at the points in this matchup as well. Georgia Tech has played by far the most difficult league schedule of any team in the ACC, yet they still have their heads above water. The Jackets demolished Clemson 83-65 in the first meeting back on Jan. 20. And while I don’t think it will be nearly that easy this time around, I do think that Tech is due for a strong road showing. They won at Clemson last year and have beaten the Tigers three straight times. Both of these teams are better in the underdog role. Georgia Tech is 4-2 ATS catching points, and the Tigers are 2-4 ATS as a favorite. The Jackets are 50-24 ATS in their last 74 games against teams that are above .600, and I think they will spring another upset. We will go with the home team in this Big 12 showdown. West Virginia has won three straight games. Leeds had a huge bounce back on Monday, beating an upswing Crystal Palace side 2-0. They are now 3-2-0 in their last five matches and have moved up to tenth place in the League. Leeds away form has been what has kept them in the conversation this season. They have won their last two in a row away from home, beating Newcastle 2-1 and Leicester City 3-1. Throw in a loss to Tottenham and a huge 5-0 win over West Ham, and you have nine points from four matches. Leeds do play a dangerous style of football; you saw the success on Monday with a third minute goal, but their defense was left out to dry a few times, but a great performance by their keeper kept the clean sheet. Arsenal looked like they were on a bit of a upswing, however they have just one win in their last five matches, after winning six of seven matches. They have since been knocked out of the FA Cup, beaten Southampton 3-1, run out to a scoreless draw to Manchester United, and lost to Wolves and Aston Villa. They lack teeth in their attack, and when things go wrong, they totally collapse. These two played out to a scoreless draw in November, while Arsenal had won the previous three. Leeds last win over Arsenal came in the Premier League back in 2003 at Arsenal’s former stadium in a wild 3-2 decision.
