Kansas City Chiefs Odds to Win the Super Bowl

This could be the year that the Kansas City Chiefs finally turn the corner and start a march back to respectability. Of course, that’s what people said before last year. And the year before that. Bovada has installed them at 50/1 to win the Super Bowl (check below for the latest odds). If all of the changes they have made pay off then that price could fall, or they could deliver some very nice value. You can argue what is the biggest change - the addition of Andy Reid as head coach or Alex Smith as quarterback. Either man reflects a good deal more competence than the team has shown in those key roles in several years. Needless to say, there is almost nothing to build on from last year - there can’t be when a team only won two games. There is some very nice talent, though - especially on offense - so there is no reason the team should be so impossibly lousy this year. Their first four road games are at Jacksonville, Philadelphia, Tennessee and Buffalo, so they certainly have a chance to get off to a better start after last year, when they lost their last six away from K.C.
