The Rangers showed their serious about winning this year with the big addition of tonight's starter Cole Hamels at last weeks trade deadline. Hamels is a proven top-notch starter who carries the big edge here of facing a Mariners offense for the first time this season. This is a huge advantage for any left-handed pitcher and especially a veteran one as crafty as Hamels.
