Take #140 Oregon (-34.5) over Oregon State (4 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27)
There might not be a more improved CFB team the 2nd half of the season than the Oregon Ducks. The main reason behind that is quarterback Vernon Adams is finally fully healthy, and he's playing at elite levels right now. With Adams running the show, the Ducks have not only won five straight games but they've also covered the point spread in each one of those contests. They face a worn-down Oregon State team in this one as the Beavers are playing for the 8th straight week in a row. OSU has allowed an average of over 80 plays on defense the last three weeks, with over 50 of them being rushing plays. That kind of pounding starts to take it's toll on an undermanned team like the Beavers this late in the season as they've allowed nearly 300 yards per game on the ground during that time and now face one of the most prolific rushing offenses in CFB here in this game. They've dropped those last three contests by an average of 39 points per game as well and look to be a team counting the days until the season ends. Oregon should be extra motivated here in this one as it's Senior Day here for the Ducks in this one. Take Oregon minus the points. Take 'Over' 68.5 Oregon St. vs. Oregon (4 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27)
Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet in the Civil War on Friday afternoon when the Oregon St. Beavers travel to take on the Oregon Ducks at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, OR. The Ducks have posted a 5-1 record to the over in their last six games following an ATS win, and they have gone over the total in four of their last five games where they faced a team with a losing record. They have also been a very good over team in the month of November, going 20-8 to the over dating back to the 2009 season. The Beavers have been an over team as well of late, mainly because they can't stop anyone when they are on defense as they have gone 4-1 to the over when they allowed more than 200 yards on the ground in their previous contest. Throw in the fact that Oregon has posted a lights out 40-16-1 record to the over in their last 57 home games, and that's where we'll have our Newsletter Free Play. We know the Ducks are going to show up but we're expecting an all out effort on offense from the Beavers as this is essentially their bowl game in what has been an awful season in Corvallis. Take UAB (-4) over Illinois (9:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27)
We are 2-0 with our college basketball free plays in the newsletter and that is pretty much par for the course as right now we continue to dominate the hardwood. Here is another strong spot in a game that should be a blowout. Illinois is fielding about half a team at the moment. And it is half of a bad team. Injuries and other issues have really wiped out this team, and they are off to a terrible start to what many believe is a make-or-break season for John Groce. The Illini barely escaped Monday with a win over a really bad Chicago State team, needing a comeback to win 82-79. That game came after a loss to Chattanooga over the weekend. Now Illinois has to travel to Florida for a holiday tournament and face a UAB team that has everyone back from a team that not only played in but also won a game in the NCAA Tournament. UAB hasn't looked good to start this season, losing its opener at Auburn and then looking shaky against some other bad in-state competition. But the Blazers should be up for this game against a Big Ten opponent. Illinois is just in a fog right now. I think that any mediocre team could beat them right now, and UAB fits the bill. Take Henderson (-255) over Masvidal (8 p.m., Saturday Nov. 28)
Benson 'Smooth' Henderson is coming off a big win in February against Brandon Thatch by submission, and Henderson needed that W because he was riding a two-fight losing streak. Henderson has fought some tough opponents in his UFC career, while the path of Jorge Masvidal has not been that tough in my view. Henderson will be all over the octagon Saturday night, and if he can establish a jab early then take Masvidal to the mat this fight will be over between 2nd or the 3rd round. Look for 'Smooth' Henderson to win this fight on the ground, and again I do not see this fight going the distance. Take #259 New York Giants (-2.5) over Washington (1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 29)
The New York Giants are the best team in the NFC East, and they will showcase that again on Sunday. The Giants will win this game by double-figures as they have their way with the Redskins at the window as of late. The Giants are 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings between the two teams. The Giants had the Patriots the week before their bye, and they will continue that solid play following the week off. The Giants are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven road games, so playing in Washington won't have much of an affect on this squad. Look for the Giants offense to be able to move the ball and for their opportunistic defense to take advantage of Washington turnovers and turn them in to easy points. The Redskins are just 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Giants are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games overall. These are teams that are about to head in completely different directions as the Skins stumble and the Giants prevail. Take 'Under' 41.5 Baltimore at Cleveland (8:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 30)
It is going to be another huge weekend from my NFL 411 System, and for the first time in the eight years of the system there are FOUR plays! It starts with a 5-Unit NFL 411 Play on Thanksgiving and the weekend wraps with a 7-Unit NFL 411 Play on Sunday, and you will want to be on board for all of these picks. This should be an ugly Monday night game, and I don't see a lot of points. The Ravens just lost quarterback Joe Flacco for the year and also lost their starting running back. The Ravens have been decimated by injuries this season, and they have really struggled to put points on the board. The 'under' is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings between these two teams. The 'under' is also 3-1 in Baltimore's last three games and in Cleveland's last three games. The Browns have not scored over 20 points in their last four games and have only managed 19 points in their last two weeks with Johnny Manziel under center.
