Cole Hamels is on the mound for Texas. He has been really good after a slow start to the year. He has three of four quality starts and just a 1.58 ERA over his last three starts. He beat the Astros in his last start, giving up just one hit in six innings. The White Sox are just 10-27 on the year, and they are just 7-25 in their last 32 games overall. This team is rebuilding and they have been struggling. I don't think they will be able to stop the Rangers here, and I expect to have some very good value with low odds on this play. Take 'Over' 7.5 Arizona at N.Y. Mets (7 p.m., Friday, May 18)

That is now back-to-back free play winners in this space as last week's Atlanta-Miami 'over' hit with ease. Let's get three in a row here, and don't forget that I have a 7-Unit MLB Play set for Thursday. As for this free play, I expect this line to be either 7.5 or 8.0. But I also think that both teams are due for a breakout here. Their humidor is depressing Arizona's offensive numbers and their totals numbers. The Diamondbacks are averaging just 2.7 runs over their last 10 games. But all but two of those games were played at home. The two on the road? They both easily went 'over' and they scored 11 total runs. The Mets have been in the same boat. They are averaging 2.4 runs per game over their last 10. But they have too many good hitters for that to continue for much longer. Both pitchers are spotty in the zone and throw way too many pitches. Steve Matz has back-to-back starts allowing just one run. But prior to that he had surrendered 14 runs in just over 12 innings. Zach Godley has given up four or more runs in three of his last four starts and four of his last six. I think the hitters will have the better of this matchup, and I see this one going 'over'. Free MLB Baseball Play Prediction From Strike Point Sports :

Take Colorado over San Francisco (10:15 p.m. Friday, May 18)

This will be the first meeting of the season for these ball clubs, and they both are in the thick of the National League West race. Kyle Freeland has been sharp, winning three of his last four starts and allowing 5 runs over 27.1 innings while striking out 27 and allowing 17 hits. San Francisco is still battling the injury bug with position players and pitchers still on the disabled list, while the Rockies have almost their full compliment of players at their disposal. Derek Holland is still starting for the Giants, but due to ineffectiveness and other starting pitchers close to returning he may not be a starter much longer for San Francisco. Holland has allowed 3 runs or more in six out of his eight starts this season, and I think the Rockies lineup will be able to score at least 3 runs off of him. Free MLB Baseball Prediction From Doc's Sports :
Take 'Over' Texas at Chicago White Sox (7 p.m., Saturday, May 19)
Two pitchers that I'm not very high on will face one another in Saturday's game between the Rangers and White Sox. Matt Moore gets the ball for Texas. Moore has been a train wreck in 2018 with a 7.82 ERA and 2.00 WHIP. It's surprising that he still has a job in the rotation at this point. There's no way he's going to last all season in this role. He's been hit hard, and his control is all over the place as well. Lucas Giolito is slated to go for the White Sox, and he's had just terrible control so far. Giolito is walking more batters than he's striking out (32 walks versus just 24 strikeouts), and he's been terrible with runners on base. He owns a 6.91 ERA, and I'm not sure he's capable of bringing that down much further. We should see plenty of runs on Saturday, and Guaranteed Rate Field isn't going to help the pitchers. Play the OVER between the Rangers and the White Sox as our Saturday Free Play selection.
