Tyler Anderson and Tyler Mahle met up in Coors Field just last week, and Mahle and the Reds got the better of this matchup. But I don't see it going that way this time around. Take Washington over San Francisco (10 p.m., Friday, June 8)

It looks like Stephen Strasburg is in line to get the start in this game. He is questionable to make this start because of a forearm cramp. But I think that he is going to be fine and that he will make this outing. He is coming off a loss but has still posted five of six quality starts and won four of his last six starts. Even if Strasburg doesn't start, I still like the Giants in this one. Washington will go with Gio Gonzalez. He has had extra rest and hasn't pitched since last Saturday. Gonzalez has been outstanding. He has won five of his last six starts and has just a 2.27 ERA on the season. He lost to the Giants the last time he faced them back in April 23, but I think that he will get the job done this time around. Washington has been heating up in a big way. They have won seven of their last 10 road games, and they pulled off road sweeps at Miami and at Baltimore on their last road trip. I think that they will get this road trip started with a win. Coors Field hasn't been the huge hitter's haven that it's been in recent years. Scoring is down, and the Rockies hitters have had a particularly tough time hitting at their home park. The same goes for the Diamondbacks, who have several struggling hitters in their lineup, including Paul Goldschmidt. With AJ Pollock also out of action and JD Martinez in a Red Sox uniform, this Arizona lineup is all of a sudden not that intimidating. Matt Koch and Chad Bettis are slated to go on Saturday's matchup, and I think both are a bit better than what the market is rating them.
