Take Pittsburgh over Washington (3 p.m., Sunday, April 12)

The Penguins head to D.C. this Sunday to wrap up a crucial back-to-back home-and-home set with the Capitals. If you followed my free play last week, you saw Pittsburgh dismantle the Panthers 5-2, and I’m going right back to the well here. The story for Pittsburgh lately is their explosive offense. They’ve been the real deal over the last month, consistently finding the back of the net and averaging over four goals per game. This high-octane production has made them a "cash cow" in early-window games this season. On the other side, Washington has hit a wall offensively.. While they are fighting for a wild card spot, they simply haven't shown the firepower necessary to keep up in a track meet. With the quick turnaround from Saturday’s game in Pittsburgh, I’m siding with the team that has the hotter hand and the more reliable scoring depth. The Penguins’ veteran leaders like Crosby and Malkin thrive in these high-stakes divisional matchups, and I expect them to overwhelm a Capitals defense that has looked vulnerable. NBA Prediction From Griffin Murphy:

Take Portland over Sacramento (8:30 p.m., Sunday, April 12)

Sacramento is potentially one of the worst teams in the NBA and this team has done their load of imploding this season. Sacramento is not deep; they have failed across many metrics this season and have proven they are not a competitive team. Portland is sitting with a 40-39 record and chipping as much as possible. This game is in Sacramento and they have done well ATS at home, but this is a game where we believe Portland beamlines them across the boards, field and from the arc. We are not going to play the analysis paralysis situation here. Portland is by far superior and should dominate this matchup.
