While a lot of bobbleheads were surprised by Arkansas' resurgence last fall, I predicted the Razorbacks season perfectly, predicting a winning 'over' bet in this space last season. In fact, Arkansas' record doesn't even reflect just how good this team was; four of their six losses were by just a touchdown or less. Now we'll see if Arkansas can take the next step in an absolutely brutal SEC West.

Arkansas returns 14 starters, eight on offense, and they will again rely on their dominating rushing attack and Top 10 defense. Arkansas shut out LSU and Ole Miss late last year - they also held Alabama to just 14 points - and they are rugged and ready to go.

There's no such thing as an easy schedule in the West this year. And crossover games at Tennessee and hosting Missouri aren't exactly easy. But the Razorbacks will be favored in their first three games of the year, all at home, and they only have four true road games.

I definitely think that Arkansas is going to continue to improve this season. But nine wins is going to be tough with road games at Alabama, Ole Miss and LSU. If they lose those three they would have to be perfect the rest of the season. That's doable. But I don't know that I would wager on it happening.

I wouldn't play Arkansas' season total at all. But if I did I think I would play it just 'under', as I see them going 8-4.
