2015 Season Win Total Picks NCAA Football: 'Push'

Don't bet against Bill Snyder. You just don't do it. Snyder is one of the best coaches in college football history, and he has been one of the best against the spread coaches in the sport over the last five years. This year's team doesn't look promising. But since Snyder acquires a lot of talent via junior colleges, this is always a team ready to exceed expectations.

Kansas State has just 11 total starters back and has major quarterback questions. But they do have a very solid offensive line with four senior starters. And six of the returnees are on a defense that was in the Top 30 in points allowed last year.

The Wildcats should breeze through their three nonconference games. I'll also chalk up wins over Iowa State and Kansas. That's five. Kansas State also has three opportunities for major upsets with TCU, Oklahoma and Baylor each visiting Manhattan. I think they can win one of those games. But in order to beat this win total they not only need to score an upset but they also need to win two of three road games at Oklahoma State, Texas and Texas Tech. That I can't see.

Snyder is a master. But he's overachieved with his past two teams and his most winnable games are on the road this year. I won't bet against the man, so I will call for a 'push' as K-State overachieves its way to seven regular-season wins.
