2021 AL West Predictions and Expert Betting Advice
by Robert Ferringo - 4/1/2021
Two years ago, the Houston Astros were -800 to win the American League West. Playing the regular season was a mere formality, and Houston ended up taking the division title with 107 wins and a 10-game margin over second-place Oakland. Last year Oakland won the West in the truncated 60-game season.
2021 NL West Predictions and Expert Betting Advice
by Robert Ferringo - 4/1/2021
The Los Angeles Dodgers were finally able to shake off several recent heartbreaks, specifically losing in the World Series in 2017 and 2018 to the cheating-their-asses Astros and Red Sox, respectively, and claim L.A.’s first world championship in over 30 years. The Dodgers were able to take that next crucial step and become champions. Now they want to take another step and become a dynasty.
2021 NL East Predictions and Expert Betting Advice
by Robert Ferringo - 4/1/2021
The National League East is by far the best division in baseball. It is the only division with four teams boasting season win totals of 81.5 or higher, and this group could produce one of the best pennant races of the decade. Atlanta has won three straight division titles and is the favorite to do it again. But the Mets loaded up with one of the biggest offseasons in baseball, Washington still has the starting staff intact from their 2019 World Series championship team, and Philadelphia might be the most underrated team in all of baseball right now.
2021 NL Central Predictions and Expert Betting Advice
by Robert Ferringo - 4/1/2021
For my money, the National League Central is the most competitive division in baseball. It is definitely not the best division in the Major Leagues. It isn’t even the second-best division. But with four legitimate contenders for the N.L. Central crown, this division could provide us with one of the best races of the season.
2021 AL Central Predictions and Expert Betting Advice
by Robert Ferringo - 4/1/2021
This division is still pathetic. I’ve read all kinds of missives about Minnesota’s potential as a World Series sleeper and Chicago’s priming for a return to relevance. It’s all nonsense. The American League Central is by far the most pathetic division in baseball. And winning the worst division in the sport doesn’t make a team a true competitor for the American League crown.
2021 AL East Predictions and Expert Betting Advice
by Robert Ferringo - 3/31/2021
If betting value is what you crave, then I must direct you away from the American League East this MLB betting season. The East is one of the most highly publicized divisions in baseball. New York and Boston are two of the sport’s biggest draws, and Tampa Bay is the defending American League champion. Toronto is also an exciting team full of young, up-and-coming stars and has enjoyed its share of headlines.
2021 Minnesota Twins Predictions and Odds to Win the World Series
by Chris Vasile - 3/31/2021
Since 1987, the Minnesota Twins franchise has two World Series titles to their name. They won it all in 1987 when they finished first in the AL West and beat the Tigers and Cardinals and then again in 1991 when they finished first in the AL West and beat the Blue Jays and Braves. However, since 1992, the results have been poor. Sure, they’ve won the AL Central eight times. However, in nine playoff appearances, they’ve only managed to win one series – a 2002 ALDS against the Athletics.
2021 Chicago White Sox Predictions and Odds to Win the World Series
by Chris Vasile - 3/31/2021
Since winning the World Series in 2005, the Chicago White Sox have been an afterthought in the American League East. Since 2006, the White Sox have just one division title to their name and have made the playoffs a whopping two times – in 2008, and in last year’s COVID-shortened season. To say they’ve been a disappointment despite having excellent hitters and a collection of great pitchers would be an understatement.
2021 Cleveland Indians Predictions and Odds to Win the World Series
by Chris Vasile - 3/29/2021
Since 1995, the Cleveland Indians have been a franchise that has produced mixed results. The Indians earned spots in two World Series in a three-year span between 1995 and 1997 but would ultimately lose out on both of them to the Braves and Marlins, respectively. Since then, the Indians have two appearances in the ALCS (losses) and one World Series appearance, which was also a loss.
2021 Kansas City Royals Predictions and Odds to Win the World Series
by Chris Vasile - 3/29/2021
Believe it or not, the Kansas City Royals were actually a good team not too long ago. In 2014, the Royals finished second in the AL Central with a record of 89-73 and went on to beat the A’s, Angels, and Orioles in the postseason only to lose to the Giants in Game 7 of the World Series. The following year, the Royals got over the hump. They finished first in the division and beat the Astros, Blue Jays and Mets to secure the franchise’s second World Series banner.
2021 Detroit Tigers Predictions and Odds to Win the World Series
by Chris Vasile - 3/29/2021
For a team with two World Series appearances since 2006, you’d think they would be a bit better than what they’ve shown of late. That is, in fact, not the case as the Tigers have gone from a World Series berth in 2006 and four-straight division titles between 2011-2014 to a team that has been one of the worst teams in baseball over the last six seasons. Since 2015, the Tigers have finished above .500 just once.
2021 Houston Astros Predictions and Odds to Win the World Series
by Chris Vasile - 3/24/2021
After losing to the Chicago White Sox in the World Series in 2005, the Houston Astros went through a very rough stretch of years where they finished better than .500 just twice and missed the playoffs in each of the nine seasons that followed. Since 2015, the Astros have turned their fortunes around, and it all started with a roster that was one of the best up-and-coming bunch of players baseball had.
2021 Los Angeles Angels Predictions and Odds to Win the World Series
by Chris Vasile - 3/24/2021
Since the Los Angeles Angles became a Major League team back in 1961, the squad has made the playoffs 10 times and has had five name changes. I’m not exactly a math major, but 10 playoff appearances in 60 years is pathetic, not to mention they’ve changed their team name HALF as many times in that span. The only thing the Angels can hang their hat on is the 2002 World Series championship.
2021 Texas Rangers Predictions and Odds to Win the World Series
by Chris Vasile - 3/24/2021
It has been a very interesting decade for the Texas Rangers organization. In the 2010 and 2011 seasons, the Rangers finished first in the AL West by winning 90 and 96 games, respectively, and appeared in two World Series. The problem is that they lost both of them to the Giants and Cardinals, respectively. Josh Hamilton was the AL MVP in 2010. And since then, the organization has zero success to show for its efforts.
2021 Oakland Athletics Predictions and Odds to Win the World Series
by Chris Vasile - 3/23/2021
Since the Oakland Athletics become a franchise back in 1968, they’ve won four World Series titles (including three in a row from 1972-74) and lost twice in the Finals. Over the last 15 years, playoff success for the Athletics has been limited at best. They’ve gone stretches where they failed to make the playoffs and then stretches where they made it consecutive seasons in a row. Still, since 2006, they’ve won only two playoff series, and one of those came in last year’s shortened COVID season.
2021 Seattle Mariners Predictions and Odds to Win the World Series
by Chris Vasile - 3/23/2021
I can’t be the only one to think that the only good thing to come out of Seattle was Ken Griffey Jr. and the baseball video game he produced for Super Nintendo. I mean, since the Mariners became a franchise back in 1977, they’ve managed to make the playoffs just four times. However, they did win a playoff series in three of those four years. Baby steps, right?
2021 MLB Season Win Totals Predictions
by Chris Vasile - 3/11/2021
We are just a few weeks away from the start of the 2021 MLB season, and I figured now would be a great time to touch on every team’s season win total. Remember, this season is a full 162-game season, which is a far cry from what teams experienced last season with a 60-game sprint to the finish line. (All lines are juiced to the over).
2021 Toronto Blue Jays Predictions and Odds to Win the World Series
by Chris Vasile - 3/11/2021
Since winning back-to-back World Series titles in 1992 and 1993, the Blue Jays have been an afterthought in the American League East. Between 1994 and 2014, the Jays finished better than third place just one time before winning the AL East in 2015 with a record of 93-69. The Jays went on to lose in the ALCS to the Royals that season. The following year, the Jays finished second in the AL East, only to make the playoffs and lose to the Cleveland Indians in the ALCS. Three straight fourth-place finishes followed before making the playoffs last year.
2021 Boston Red Sox Predictions and Odds to Win the World Series
by Chris Vasile - 3/8/2021
If you are a life-long Boston Red Sox fan, you know all too much about “The Curse of the Bambino”. The story goes that after the Red Sox won the World Series in 1918, they sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees for next to nothing. And since that day, the Red Sox franchise had been cursed. That was until 2004 when the Red Sox erased a 0-3 series deficit to the Yankees en route to winning their first World Series in 86 years. Since then, the Red Sox fortunes have been feast or famine.
2021 Tampa Bay Rays Predictions and Odds to Win the World Series
by Chris Vasile - 3/8/2021
From 1998 to 2007, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays were atrocious. They finished below .500 and lost 90+ in every single season. So, what did they do? They said, “to hell with the Devil” and changed their name to the Tampa Bay Rays, and the results were vastly different. From 2008 to the present day, the Rays have three AL East titles and two trips to the World Series.
