New England Patriots Odds to Win the Super Bowl

At least the New England Patriots have had an uneventful offseason. Nothing much has changed. They just lost their top offensive weapon in Wes Welker. Added one of the most controversial players in the league in Tim Tebow. They’re facing uncertainty about the health and attitude in Rob Gronkowski. Oh yeah, and then there is the whole Aaron-Hernandez-may-very-well-be-a-mass-murderer thing, and everything that goes with it. For an organization obsessed with keeping things simple and private, that’s a whole lot to deal with. Oddsmakers and the betting public don’t seem worried about the on-field impact of the Foxboro circus, though - at 9/1 the team is the fourth choice to win the Super Bowl at Bovada. They have clear advantages - a division that could be reasonably weak, a road schedule that could be worse, and a late week 10 bye to break up the season effectively. Still, if the team can win it all, this year it will be one of the all-time great jobs of overcoming adversity.
