Free NBA Basketball Prediction From Allen Eastman :
Take Dallas (-3.5) over Houston (7 p.m., Friday, April 24)
I am extremely focused in the NBA this weekend, and I have three monster bets that you don't want to miss out on: a 7-Unit NBA Play Wednesday, a 6-Unit NBA Play on Friday, and a 5-Unit NBA Play on Saturday. This Dallas play didn't make the cut to the level of those others, but it is still a strong spot for the home team. I think the Mavericks will get a boost from the home crowd and they will be much sharper here. The Mavs went 27-14 in their own gym this season, and this veteran team is not going to miss an opportunity to take the momentum in this series. They lost to the Rockets here back on April 2, and I think that Dallas is going to get revenge for that defeat. Dirk Nowitzki has won more big games than I can count, and the veteran big man is going to have a great game here against an overrated Houston defense. The Mavericks are 19-8 ATS in their last 27 first-round playoff games, and I think this team is undervalued right now. I think that this series is going to go six or seven games, and it all starts with a big win by the Mavs here. Free MLB Baseball Prediction From Jason Sharpe :
Take #916 Baltimore (+100) over Boston (7 p.m., Friday, April 24)
The Boston Red Sox have come out of the gates playing well this season, and there's no doubt they're a much better team than the one who lost 91 games last year. They have benefitted from playing two of their first four series against the much easier National League, including one of which was against the awful Philadelphia Phillies, a team most agree is the worst in all of baseball. The Red Sox have also caught their share of breaks in close games by going 4-0 to start the season in games decided by two runs or less. Rick Porcello gets the nod for the Red Sox here, and though Porcello has accomplished a lot at a young age, the markets are giving him a little bit more respect than I expected so far in Boston as he was a 4th or 5th starter throughout his career in Detroit before this season. The Baltimore Orioles counter here with right-hander Miguel Gonzalez. This is one of the more underrated pitchers in all of baseball as Gonzalez posted another excellent season last year with an ERA of just 3.23 overall. He's right back at it again this year as he's at 2.55 ERA so far this season, but he continues to get little to no respect with an ERA below 3.50 in his career. The reason for that lack of respect is because the advanced stats don't like Gonzalez as his FIP is a full run higher than his ERA. Gonzalez does one big thing the betting markets have a hard time correctly evaluating and that is he creates weak contact as his BABIP numbers sit around .265 lifetime. Most would say that he's been lucky more than good, but I disagree as he's been around this BABIP number long enough now to establish the fact that he induces a lot of weak contact and that this is a skill that he has. Most also forget that Baltimore was a 96-win team last year and are hitting over .300 at home this season. This Boston offense is nowhere near the same away from the offensive friendly Fenway Park as the Red Sox are batting below .240 on the road as a team this season. Take 'Over' 8.5 Boston at Baltimore (7 p.m., Saturday, April 25)
Two veterans take the hill for Saturday's game between the Red Sox and Orioles, but neither is in good form right now. Justin Masterson is still trying to get back to the pitcher he was a couple of years ago with the Indians. He comes into this one sporting a hefty 5.74 ERA, and I don't see too many positive signs from him going forward. Wei-Yin Chen is fighting to get his velocity back to where it should be and has been struggling with his control. These two teams hooked up on Monday night with the same pitching matchup, and they scored eight runs in a rain-shortened seven innings. We should see similar results on Saturday with two potent offenses that can take advantage of struggling hurlers. Take the over as our free play selection. Take Kansas City (-135) over Chicago White Sox (8 p.m., Friday, April 24)
We have got things cooking on the diamond and we've reeled off $2,200 in MLB profit over the last week. This is just the opening stages of what will be a strong summer, and I am looking forward to making it 6 of 8 winning baseball seasons with a strong summer profit. At this point it is harder to think of reasons NOT to bet on the Royals than reasons to bet on them. They have five guys hitting over .300, and they are absolutely dominating lefties at the moment. That will be a benefit to them in this matchup against struggling Jose Quintana and his 8.40 ERA. The Royals smacked Quintana back on April 8, touching him up for five runs in five innings of work, and the lefty is 0-6 with a 4.66 ERA in 13 career starts against Kansas City. The Royals will likely be going with Danny Duffy in this game. The soft-tosser is coming off back-to-back solid efforts against Oakland and Minnesota, allowing just five runs in 11 innings during two wins. Duffy also got raked by the White Sox back in that April 8 game. But I trust him to make adjustments more quickly than Quintana, a guy who always struggles against the Royals. Duffy was brilliant in 2014, sporting a 2.53 ERA while making 25 starts, and he is trending upward. I'll go with the hot team here and back the Royals. Take N.Y. Mets (-120) over N.Y. Yankees (4 p.m., Saturday, April 25)
The NBA is not the only sport that we are cashing tickets in and we are looking forward to going on a big baseball run similar to what we've done in college and pro basketball this winter. Let's get it started with a 6-Unit Play on Thursday this week and a free winner this weekend in New York. The Mets will be favored in Yankees Stadium! How can that be? The main reason is that Matt Harvey is on the mound for the Mets, and he has been unbelievable since coming back from injury. He has a WHIP of just 1.00 and an ERA of 3.50 and is a perfect 3-for-3 in getting winners this season. Harvey had a rare down start on Sunday against Miami, giving up four runs in six innings. But he is going to bounce back and be at his best today against the Yankees. These two organizations are going in opposite directions right now. The Mets have won eight straight and are atop their division. The Yankees have lost three of four series, and they are still struggling to find an identity. They will be going with Michael Pineda in this one, and he has gotten roughed up in his last two starts. Pineda has given up eight runs in 12 innings in his last two starts, and that won't be good enough to take down Harvey here. Play the Mets in this one. Take 'Under' 7.5 N.Y. Mets-N.Y. Yankees (4 p.m., Saturday, April 21)
It's the Subway Series on Saturday afternoon, and this is a great pitching matchup featuring Matt Harvey and CC Sabathia. Harvey is the young gun that is proving to everyone he is even better after returning from his Tommy John surgery. He has a ridiculous 24-1 K-BB ratio in his three starts this season and is consistently throwing in the mid-90s. Sabathia is the cagey veteran who has pretty good numbers in his own right. Through three starts he has a 20-4 K-BB ratio, but he has unfortunately taken three losses. Both offenses have looked solid this season, but I don't see either putting up any crooked numbers against these starters. Take the under as our free play selection. Normally a Klitschko in the ring is an instant winner, but the Klitschko brothers are getting older and not getting quicker. Bryant Jennings is no stranger to going into late rounds, and Jennings has one strong chin. If he can handle the Klitschko jab I see this fight going into the late rounds. Jennings last two fights have gone the distance, and I see Jennings wanting to take Klitschko into the late rounds because anything can happen in the late rounds. Should be a great heavyweight fight, and I'm not saying that Bryant Jennings is going to win this fight but he has an excellent chance and bringing home a heavyweight belt back to the USA.
