Take #242 Navy (-1) over Virginia (1:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 28)
The Navy Midshipmen will look to bounce back from their loss to Army in the last game of their regular season when they take on the Virginia Cavaliers at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, MD, in the Military Bowl on Thursday afternoon. Navy has posted a perfect 4-0 ATS record in their last four bowl games, and they have gone an excellent 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games following an ATS loss. The Cavaliers, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here on Thursday as they have gone just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a game where they failed to rush for at least 100 yards as a team. Throw in the fact that Navy has gone 9-3 ATS following a game where they allowed 20 points or less along with the fact that they are a lights out 16-6-1 ATS in their last 23 home games and we're going to lay the point or so with them here to get the win and cover in Annapolis on Thursday afternoon.

Take Wichita State over Connecticut (Noon, Saturday, Dec. 30)

The Shockers are spending their first season in the American, and today they get their first taste of conference action in their new league. UConn may have a whole lot of prestige when it comes to college basketball, but at the current moment the Huskies are pretty lost for an identity. Connecticut has lost three of their last four to begin their conference schedule, and this really isn't the match-up they'd like to get some momentum going. Of their five losses this season, four have been bad blowouts, and the smallest margin of victory was still by nine points. With the style that Wichita State plays, they won't take it easy nor make things comfortable in Hartford for Kevin Ollie's team. Free College Basketball Prediction From Robert Ferringo :
Take Auburn (-21) over Cornell (2:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 30)
Last week I released a free play on Auburn and they pasted Connecticut by 23 points in a game that was never close. Let's go back to the well here as I see an even worse result. Auburn can really pick its own score in this game. If they want to win by 30 they can. And if they really don't care they can walk backwards in this one and still win by 12. But I think they will lay the wood. Cornell has not faced this level of athleticism this year. The closest team they've taken on in that regard was Syracuse and they lost by 32 points. Last year a better Big Red team lost by 30 at Houston and by 34 to Syracuse. Cornell has been dealing with some injuries and they are just swimming way out of their depth in this game. Again, I hate having to rely on a Bruce Pearl-coached team because he's a flake and lets his teams play up and down to their level of competition. But this one is a clear mismatch, and this game will slip under the radar because of the bowl games and conference matchups. Take 'Over' 5.5 New Jersey at Washington (7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 30)
One of the best stories of the 2017-18 season is the turnaround of the New Jersey Devils. They've catapulted from the cellar to the top of the division in just one season. How have they done it? They drastically changed their style of play from a defense-first mentality to one that stresses getting as many good shots as possible on offense. That's led to a ton of high-scoring games for New Jersey this season after being the lowest-scoring team in the NHL over the past several seasons. On Saturday they'll take on the Washington Capitals in D.C. Normally the Devils would try to slow down an aggressive Caps team. But this one could turn into a wild shootout type of game. These two squads met up early in the season and Washington won 5-2. We should see plenty of action in this one as well, so we're playing the OVER in our Saturday Free Play selection. This is just too many points to be giving to Miami as they play much better at home and have the opportunity for this bowl game to be in their own stadium. Both teams were exposed at the end of the season, losing a combined three of four games over the last two weeks. Wisconsin just does not have the weapons to threaten this Miami secondary. Expect the Hurricanes to sell out to stop the run, and if Miami takes care of the football this game should go down to the wire. Both teams are planning their vacations, but someone has to win this game, and with getting the Colts at home and laying a small number give me the home team. The Texans have scored only 13 points in their last two games, and the Colts have played pretty good 'D' and the end of the season. The Colts beat Houston in Houston in early November, 20-14, and I see Sunday on afternoon the Colts taking 2 games from Houston this season. Take #267 Central Florida (+9.5) over Auburn (12:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 1)
Bowl games usually have a lot to do with who's more motivated. Central Florida has looked awesome this year as they come into this game undefeated and averaging more than 50 points per game. This game is as big as it gets for them and I expect them to bring all their attention and focus to prove that they were one of the big boys this year in CFB. On the other side of things here you have to wonder how excited Auburn is for this contest after coming so close to playing in the CFB playoff but falling short in their final game. This feels like more of a let down spot for the Tigers. Getting this many points also makes it easier for UCF to get the backdoor cover. Take Central Florida plus the points.

Take 'Under' 60.0 Oklahoma vs. Georgia (5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 1)
I have a one of my biggest football cards of the year going this weekend! I have two 6-Unit College Bowl Plays on Friday and Saturday and then a 7-Unit Bowl Play on Monday. I also have a 6-Unit NFL Play, and I am looking for a mammoth weekend to close out 2017. As for one of the first big games of 2018, I like defense to play a major role. This is a playoff game between two of the top teams in the country. Both teams are here because they have capable defenses and future NFL players on that side of the ball. Georgia is No. 4 in the country in yards and points allowed and they have the No. 2 pass defense in college football. UGA is also very conservative on offense, and they will try to run the ball and shorten this game. The Bulldogs played 'under' in their biggest nonconference game, at Notre Dame, and in the SEC Championship Game. Oklahoma has a very underrated defense. And they have gone 'under' in three of their last four games. This defense shut down Ohio State's offense in its biggest nonconference game and also shut down TCU in the Big 12 Championship. I think that this number is a touchdown too high, and I don't see a shootout in this game. Play the 'under' here and make sure to get on my big 7-Unit Bowl Play for Monday.
