I came excruciatingly close to making it seven straight newsletter free play winners last week as Tampa Bay came up just a few yards short against Atlanta. But alas, it is time to start a new streak! I feel a fantastic weekend coming and I am going with a tighter card (fewer plays) and a few more big plays than normal. You are not going to want to miss out! As for this play, it is an early starter in London and I will back the Chargers in this one. I was surprised to see this number below 7.0, as I had it at either 7.5 or 8.0. There is nothing about this Titans team that impresses me and, frankly, this team is a lot closer to 1-5 than it is to 5-1. They have been outgained in five of their six games this season and have gotten beaten up over the last two weeks in losses to Buffalo (13-12) and Baltimore (21-0). They gave up 11 sacks last week while being outgained by 255 yards, and now they have to schlepp across the Atlantic to take on one of the hottest teams in the league. The Chargers have outgained their last two opponents by a combined 250 yards and outscored the Browns and Raiders by a combined 40 points. Their only losses this season have come to the Rams and Chiefs, two teams that are a combined 11-1 and among the best two or three teams in football. Dating back to last season, the Chargers are on a 10-3 SU run and they have won 13 of 18 games. Tennessee is a ragged, beaten up team that wasn't very good to begin with. The Chargers are healthy and red hot. I think they are going to keep rolling and this should be yet another London blowout. The Jaguars dismantled Houston in their two games against them last year, winning by an average of 30 points per game. The Texans come in winners of three straight games, but make no mistake about it they very easily could have lost each one of those games. This is usually a very confident, brash Jaguars team. Free NBA Basketball Prediction From Doc's Sports :

Take Portland over Los Angeles Lakers (10:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18)

Cleveland with LeBron James was one of the worst bets in the NBA the last couple years. They were overbet by the betting public. They were shaded by the oddsmakers. Now LeBron is on the West Coast, and we think the Lakers are a team to fade, at least early in the season. Adding him to the mix changes the dynamic of this team dramatically, and it's going to take some time for the team to gel. Another thing working against the Lakers is that they are the biggest public team in the NBA. Bettors love to back them with their money. Now that LeBron has joined the team they are going to be even more of a public play than normal. Portland didn't make any huge moves in the offseason. This team doesn't have as high of a ceiling as the Lakers once this team gets a couple more players and gets on the same page. But right now, they are clearly the much better team, and we expect them to win this one comfortably in the season opener.
