The 49ers got the ball first, went 75 yards down the field for the touchdown, and never looked back in crushing Carolina 51-13. San Francisco has shown it's one of the three best teams in the league this year. The Niners point differential is second only New England. Arizona's Kyler Murray has played pretty well for rookie thrown into the fire, and one of his strengths is protecting the ball, as the Cardinals have not turned the ball over in four games and has only four turnovers all season. That could change against San Fran's ferocious pass rush, which is 4th in sacks and even more disruptive overall. With the total at 43.5 for Thursday night, the Cards are 4-16 ATS when the total is between 42.5 and 49 points the last three seasons. We will see whether or not last week's blowout win over Notre Dame has jarred something loose with the Wolverines. Everyone has been ragging on this team. However, they have gone 4-1 ATS in their last five games. Also, if you look at their schedule, they have played several tough opponents (Penn State, Iowa, Notre Dame and Wisconsin). No, they didn't play great in most of those games. But when they have punched down, they beat Illinois by 17 (on the road) and beat Rutgers by 52. I think they could do the same to a Maryland team that is off the rails. The Terps have lost three straight and five of six. Their one win was against Rutgers, and everyone beats Rutgers. The Terps lost by 42 last week at Minnesota and lost by 26 at Purdue a couple weeks ago. They sandwiched a home loss to a weak Indiana team in between those two blowouts, and Maryland is just 2-4 ATS in the last six meetings. Michigan has rolled in this series, going 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings, with the average win coming by 35 points apiece. I think that they can lay another one on Maryland Saturday.
