ROBERT FERRINGO will be releasing his Kentucky Derby selections Saturday at 10 a.m. EST, and he is thrilled for some Triple Crown horse racing! Robert is one of the most decorated horse racing handicappers around, and no one has cashed more winning Kentucky Derby tickets over the last decade. The Yankees are 39-12 in their last 51 games against the Orioles and 23-6 in their last 29 games against Baltimore. Take 'Over' 9.5 Detroit at Chicago White Sox (8 p.m., Thursday, April 29)

The Detroit Tigers send their best pitcher to the hill in this one in left-hander Matthew Boyd. The veteran southpaw is coming off an ugly 2020 where he posted an ERA of 6.71, but he's had much better results this year so far with an ERA of just 1.82. However, I am not buying it. The big reason for Boyd's improvement so far has been his extremely low percentage of fly balls becoming home runs at just 2%, which is not at all sustainable or realistic. Boyd is an extreme fly ball pitcher who's actually increased his fly ball rate 4% points from last season. A fly ball pitcher in Chicago's Guaranteed Rate Field don't usually fare well as the ball flies out of this park. Boyd has always struggled in this stadium, posting a career ERA above 6.00 when pitching here. He will face a White Sox offense that destroys lefties as they easily lead all of baseball against them the last two years in OPS. Chicago will counter with starter Dylan Cease in this one. Not a big fan of Cease, either, as he's been in the big leagues for the past three years and he's posted the worst FIP of any starter during that time (140 IP minimum). New York is currently neck and neck with Philly in the division, and it is games like these with Stroman on the mound, that the Mets need to capitalize on. The Mets are 4-2 already vs. Philadelphia this year, and the Phillies are 4-9 in their last 13 games vs. a right-handed starter. Take the Mets to get it done Friday evening. Kohei Arihara is following a similar path to a lot of Japanese pitchers. They generally start off hot. But the more tape people get on them and the more teams see these guys, the harder they get hit. Arihara has six strikeouts to six walks in his last two starts, and he has just 13 and 7 of each, respectively, this season. So he’s not fooling anyone. And I don’t think he’s going to be fooling a Red Sox lineup that is off to a hot start to the season. Nathan Eovaldi has nearly a 6-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio, and he is coming off his lone bad start of the year, allowing five runs to the Mariners. I think he will rebound here. The Red Sox have been great on the road, winning nine of their last 10 away games. Texas is just 2-6 in its last eight home games, and they are just 25-51 against teams with a winning record.
