NBA Prediction From Robert Ferringo:
Take Detroit over Philadelphia (7 p.m., Thursday, March 12)
I am now 132-89 (60%) with my newsletter plays over the last 221 weeks. The 76ers are kind of a mess right now without Tyrese Maxie and Joel Embiid. They are coming off a blowout win over Memphis, but the Sixers have lost four of their last six with the two wins coming against Memphis and Utah. Detroit was able to snap a four-game losing streak with a blowout win at Brooklyn. That got them back on track. The Pistons feel the heat from Boston closing in on the No. 1 seed, with Detroit’s lead at just 3.5 games. Philadelphia is just 1-12 ATS in its last 13 games in March and this is usually the time of year things come off the rails for them. The Pistons have been terrible ATS at home lately and I think they are due for a blowout. I would take this number at -8.0 or less but wouldn’t lay double digits in this one. If we get our number pull the trigger. If you don’t have an account at Doc’s Sports sign up now and get $60 in premium member picks click here. NBA Prediction From Vernon Croy:
Take Phoenix over Indiana (7 p.m., Thursday, March 12)
Take Phoenix ATS as my top NBA pick for Thursday night. I really like Phoenix a lot in this spot on the road here Thursday as they are hands down the superior team. Phoenix did win their last and only meeting against Indiana this season back on November 13th by 35 points. Indiana simply does not match up well against this Phoenix team and this is an Indiana team that has really struggled since February 19th. I do expect Phoenix to step up defensively here and dominate the boards. I'm this is an Indiana team that has allowed opponents to shoot 49% against them over all this season with opponents averaging 120 points per game against them so you can expect Phoenix to put up a big number here Thursday. Play Phoenix ATS. If you don’t have an account at Doc’s Sports sign up now and get $60 in premium member picks click here. NHL Prediction From Strike Point Sports:
Take Anaheim (-105) over Toronto (7 p.m., Thursday, March 12)
It was an easy win last week with Nashville. Let’s do it again. Toronto has lost eight straight games. This team has been playing terrible. The Leafs have lost their last three games by at least two goals and six of their eight losses during this losing streak have been by multiple goals. Their last win was on Feb. 3. Anaheim has won eight of 10 games. This team has a nine-game losing streak in December and January. Since then, they have been one of the best teams in the league and the Ducks are 15-4 in their last 19 games overall. Anaheim is 5-2 in its last seven road games and Toronto is 0-8 in its last eight home games. Take Anaheim. NHL Prediction From Nick Menken:
Take New Jersey (-1.5) over Calgary (7 p.m., Thursday, March 12)
We’re looking at a Thursday night matchup between the Calgary Flames and the New Jersey Devils, and this sets up as a great spot to fade Calgary on the road.. The Flames have struggled away from home all season, posting just a 9–18 road record. Meanwhile, the Devils have played much better on their home ice with a 16–13 record at home and come into this game with momentum, riding a four-game winning streak to start the week. Scheduling is also working against Calgary here. The contest will be their third game in four days, and they’re in the middle of a long road trip. That kind of travel and fatigue can make it very difficult to compete, especially against a team that’s playing well and feeding off the home crowd. With New Jersey rolling and Calgary in a tough scheduling spot, this lines up well for the Devils to control the game. Take the Devils on the puckline and look for them to win this one by two goals on Thursday night. College Basketball Prediction From Jason Sharpe:
Take Akron (-12.5) over Buffalo (4 p.m., Thursday, March 12)
Miami Ohio is the talk of the Mid-American Conference this season but Akron is the one who's ranked ahead of them currently at Kenpom. The Zips have gone 34-2 in the last two regular seasons in conference play and have also won back to back MAC tournaments coming into this year for an overall combined record of 40-2 their last 42 MAC games. They have beat Buffalo 11 straight times and done so by an average of 17 points per game with 10 of those 11 wins being by double digits. Lay the points with Akron in this one. College Basketball Prediction From Scott Rickenbach:
Take #772 Western Kentucky (-1.5) over Kennesaw State (9 p.m., Thursday, March 12)
The Owls took each of the last two meetings so the Hilltoppers are playing this game with double revenge here in the Conference USA Tournament Quarterfinals. Kennesaw State wrapped up the regular season on an unimpressive 6-7 run while Western Kentucky had rattled off 6 straight wins and wins in 7 of their last 8 prior to B2B losses to wrap up the regular season. The Toppers will respond to that here. They had a very ugly season-ending loss and that 92-67 defeat was an attention getter to say the least. The Hilltoppers only had one losing streak go past two games this season and once again they will respond here off back-to-back losses. The Toppers are 5-2 SU L7 times this season when they are entering a game off a loss away from home. After getting pounded at FIU in their most recent game, they again respond here coming off a road loss to improve that record to 6-2 SU L8 on the season. Take Western Kentucky -1.5. College Basketball Prediction From Raphael Esparza:
Take First Quarter ‘Over’ Charlotte at San Antonio (3:30 p.m., Saturday, March 14)
The Charlotte Hornets have been a good 'First Quarter' over team and this year they are averaging 60 PPG. If this number comes out around 57-58, I will be betting this 'First Quarter' betting line over. The San Antonio Spurs are a good dance partner for an up-tempo game to start the game and the Spurs this year are averaging 31.2 PPG in the 'First Quarter' and they are the second highest scoring team in the 'First Quarter'. The Spurs last game the 'First Quarter' the total was 58.5 and the Celtics/Spurs scored 60 points. Soccer Prediction From Doc's Sports:
Take Toluca (-1.5, -110) over Atlas (9 p.m., Saturday, March 14)
The two-time defending champs from Toluca host Atlas in Liga MX Matchday 11 this Saturday from Estadio Nemesio Diez. Atlas has been better this season than last, when they were one of the most porous defensive sides in The Liga. They have been respectable in that area. However, Atlas is not anywhere near the level of side that Toluca has. Toluca have the third best offense in the league through ten matches and they have the best defense by far, as they have allowed five goals through 10 matches. The next best defensive side has allowed eight, for comparisons sake, while the worst defensive side has allowed 26. Atlas is very unlikely to score here. Atlas is one of the worst road sides in Liga MX this season as they have three points in four tries, and they have scored only three goals while allowing eight. Toluca has four wins and a draw in five home matches, with 10 goals scored and three conceded. And in their last two visits to Toluca, Atlas lost both matches by an identical 4-1 score. We think we will see a similar result here! If you don’t have an account at Doc’s Sports sign up now and get $60 in premium member picks click here.
