The Dallas Cowboys have owned their NFC East division rival, the New York Giants, for three years, winning six consecutive contests. For all betting intents and purposes, they were 5-1 against the spread. That's great news for Cowboy backers this week, because outside of the Giants injury report (more on that in a moment), there simply isn't a whole lot to feel great about down in Big D.

Green 18, green 18…hut! The NFL is a better place when Aaron Rodgers is playing every week. He may not have the scrambling ability that we see from Patrick Mahomes or C.J. Stroud, and he is 40 years old, but the dude can still sling it better than anybody. In Week 1 on Monday Night Football this season, Rodgers was up against it big time playing opposite the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners proved themselves to be the better overall team that night. However, it was the first time we saw Rodgers play an entire NFL game in 20 months.

Thursday Night Football Predictions: Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins

This Thursday night in primetime, the Dolphins welcome a familiar foe, the Buffalo Bills, to Miami for an early-season AFC North showdown. Both teams had to come back from double-digit deficits to win, with each game coming down to the wire. Miami had the lead for only 1 second in that game, as they needed a walk-off field goal to defeat the Jaguars. The Bills held off a potential game-winning drive from Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals, securing a win in their home opener.

Week 1 of the 2024 NFL regular season is finally upon us! Let’s cross our fingers for no major injuries. It would be interesting, however, to see the Kansas City Chiefs try to play an entire season without the best football player in the league. This Thursday, the defending Super Bowl Champion Chiefs play host to the Baltimore Ravens in a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship Game, only with the home/away switched. The betting odds are close, as you may imagine, with the home Chiefs as field goal favorites in Arrowhead.

As we enter the final few weeks of the NFL regular season, we are accustomed to seeing teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots excel. A huge reason for this is the coaching. Both Mike Tomlin of the Steelers and the infamous Bill Belichick of the Patriots are two of the best head coaches the game has ever seen. Unfortunately for Belichick, his name is on the chopping block.

What a wild week of football and food that was! Betting the three big favorites on Turkey Day was a success, as two out of three came through for us. The Detroit Lions failed us, but the Niners and Cowboys won big over their division rivals. This week's Thursday Night Football matchup features two teams we saw on Thanksgiving. I like that. They each have equal rest, and we get a Thursday primetime game with both squads having a week to prepare.

In the late game on Thanksgiving, the Seattle Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers at 8:20 Eastern. I imagine that’s about the time some of us start to come out of our food comas. The previous game got out of hand midway through the third quarter. Dallas just picked off Sam Howell for the third time today. Maybe you took a walk with your cousin. Maybe you had to kick your nephews Kaden and Braden off the couch. Either way, though, you found a way to sleep off that last meal, though.

In the second of three divisional rivalry games on Thanksgiving, the heavily favored Dallas Cowboys will play host to the Washington Commanders. Washington is coming off of an embarrassing loss at home to the New York Giants. That came after a spirited performance and close loss on the road against the Seattle Seahawks. I guess that one took the wind from the Commanders' sails.

The first of the day will be kicking off at 12:30 Eastern from the Motor City, as Coach of the Year betting favorite Dan Campbell and his Detroit Lions host the Green Bay Packers.

Last week, we improved our record on Thursday Night Football to 4-2 with a big win on the Detroit Lions moneyline of (-125). I felt great about this one, because I said in the article that Green Bay was not on their level. While the Packers will have to scratch and claw for a potential postseason berth, the Detroit Lions are the clear favorites to win the NFC North. Another thing we did correctly was simply taking the moneyline.

If we are sharp, we can confidently stick some temporary labels on most of these teams. From there, we can ride the wave until the sportsbooks and/or the betting market price them out.
