The Top Five US Sportsbooks Set Odds on the NBA Championship

With the NBA regular season down to the last quarter of games, the postseason standing is pretty clear in focus. The top team in the Eastern Conference is the Boston Celtics but the Milwaukee Bucks are closing in on the No. 1 seed at a half game out. The Denver Nuggets have a 5.5 game lead in the West, but the Phoenix Suns are favored in this conference after pulling off the trade for Kevin Durant with the Brooklyn Nets.

The top five US sportsbooks have set odds for the NBA championship and here are the first five teams on the list.

Boston Celtics

DraftKings and FanDuel are leading the way for the Celtics at +280 odds to win the NBA championship. BetMGM and BetRivers are next on the list at +300 and the Caesars Sportsbook has Boston at +325 odds to win the 2023 NBA World Championship title. The chance of winning for the Celtics is 25.23%.

Forward Jayson Tatum has 30.4 points and 8.7 rebounds to lead the team with guard Jaylen Brown adding 26.5 points and 7.0 rebounds. Boston is scoring 118.1 points a game this season and only allowing 112.1 points on defense. The Celtics are favored to win the East with +115 odds.

Phoenix Suns

The Suns have +425 odds at DraftKings and the rest of the sportsbooks are set at +450 to win the NBA title. Phoenix has not played a single game with Kevin Durant but there is high speculation on what he brings to the table. The chance of winning the NBA title is 18.35%.

With guards Devin Booker and Chris Paul already on the lineup, Durant has fueled the excitement for the West in the NBA Finals.

Milwaukie Bucks

The Bucks have +440 odds on the low side with FanDuel. The high range of their odds goes to +500 with DraftKings and BetMGM. BetRivers is at +450 odds and Caesars Sportsbook is at +475. The team’s chance to win the NBA title is 17.48%.

Milwaukee is clearly a second-favorite to win the East at +200 odds. However, Giannis Antetokounmpo sprained his wrist prior to the NBA All-Star break. He expects to have full capabilities in the playoffs but is day-to-day with his health status in the stretch run of the regular season.

Denver Nuggets

BetRivers has +600 odds that Denver is the NBA champion on 2023. BetMGM and Caesars Sportsbook have +700 odds along with DraftKings and FanDuel at +750. The Nuggets’ chance to win is 12.56%.

Denver is first in line to have the top regular season record in the Western Conference. However, the Nuggets are second favorites in the West at +325 odds. Center Nikola Jokic is leading the team in points (24.8) and rebounds (11.7) along with minutes per game (33.7). Denver’s supporting cast is Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray.

Los Angeles Clippers

The LA Clippers have +900 odds at Caesars Sportsbook followed by +950 at DraftKings and +1000 at BetRivers. BetMGM and FanDuel have +1100 odds to win the NBA title in 2023. The Clippers’ chance of winning is 9.06%.

The three most recognized players on the Clippers are Paul George, Kawhi Leonard and Russel Westbrook. George and Leonard are leading in combined points (46.5) and Westbrook is averaging nine assists in a couple of games with Los Angeles.

The next five teams in the list to win the NBA championship are Philadelphia 76ers (+1140), Golden State Warriors (+1600), Memphis Grizzlies (+1600), Dallas Mavericks (+1700) and Cleveland Cavaliers (+2780)
