One of those markets is the Sun Belt, stretching from Virginia to Texas. One of the key members of the SBC is Appalachian State, who every good football fan knows upset the #5-ranked Michigan Wolverines in the Big House back in 2007.

This knocked Alabama down to sixth in the rankings, which has been its lowest ranking in years. TCU ended up winning their game up in overtime but failed to cover the -3.5 spread, as they won by a field goal.

That Alabama spread pick was kind of a reach as we were playing the hot hand against a mediocre team. Alabama did come out with a win, but they struggled to score at the rate they usually do.

Week 3 in College Football was exciting to watch. There were some spreads that were covered that I couldn’t wrap my head around. I always remind myself that these college guys are still kids themselves. Kansas State had a huge upset over Oklahoma, Oregon State almost upset an extremely hyped USC team, and a ranked Kentucky team played a close game with a Northern Illinois team who had no business keeping up with the Wildcats. Everything else looked ordinary to me.
