Nola has an ERA of just 0.76 over his last 5 starts with opponents hitting just .151 against him and I look for him to continue to have success here Thursday. Philadelphia has hit .294 as a team lifetime against Stripling with an on-base percentage of .368 and slugging percentage of .529. Stripling has an ERA of 5.79 over his last 3 starts with opponents hitting .298 against him. Take ‘Over’ 11.5 Colorado at N.Y. Yankees (7 p.m., Friday, July 19)

I have been the No. 1 MLB handicapper in the country over the last two months, posting nearly +10,000 in MLB profit. I’m going to keep it going this weekend and am looking for another potential 7-Unit Play situation this Saturday. With regards to this play, the Rockies have been an ‘over’ play since coming back from the break. Their totals have been around 13.5 and 14 in each of those games. Some of that has to do with playing in Coors Field. Some of it has to do with their awful pitching. It looks like Kyle Freeland is in line to start this game. He was so bad earlier in the year he was sent down the minors. The Rockies called him back up and he promptly allowed five runs in four innings against the Reds last weekend. It won’t get any better against a Yankees lineup that crushes lefties. Freeland has a 7.39 ERA on the season and has allowed 20 runs in his last 13 innings of work over four starts. Not great. Masahiro Tanaka looks like he will be starting for the Yankees. He has quietly been better than his numbers suggest. But he is still somewhat vulnerable, allowing at least four runs in five of his last eight starts. If you kick out one great start against the Rays, Tanaka has surrendered 24 runs in 37 inning over seven starts dating back to late May. That would equate to a 5.83 ERA. The Rockies really haven’t been hitting the ball lately. But they are due. I think it will do them well to get away from the N.L. West for a bit and a trip East could spark their offense. Despite all of this the MLB betting markets are still overvaluing this team as they are just 7-28 since June 1st. The Tigers are scheduled to go with starter Jordan Zimmermann in this one. They acquired Zimmermann as a high priced free agent before the 2016 MLB season and since joining the Tigers he has had the worst ERA in baseball at 5.45 over the past four years (400 IP minimum). He's been even worse this season as his average FB velocity has again dropped full mile per hour and his ERA is above 7.00 in 2019. Take Toronto in this one. Minnesota is looking for some revenge against Oakland as the Athletics took two of three from them a couple of weeks ago. I think the Twins will have a different result with the games being in Minnesota where they have one of the best home records in all of baseball at 28-15. Jake Odorizzi has yet to lose a game at Target Field as he is 6-0 with a 2.27 ERA holding opponents to a .192 average, and I think he will hold his own against the A's lineup. Chris Bassitt will have the ball for Oakland and he has been steady for the A's this season. However, he has faltered on the road as his ERA is 4.43, which is almost a full run higher than his ERA at home. I like the Twins to pick up the W in this series opener.
