The Browns schedule definitely is easier the second half of the season, but Pittsburgh is playing on another level defensively. Its not truly as if they are shutting people out, but they are turning their opponents over, which shortens the field and gets Pittsburgh easy points. Turning the ball over is a specialty of Baker Mayfield, so this doesn't bode well for the Cleveland Browns. Take South Carolina (-22) over Cleveland State (7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 15)

South Carolina has dominated its first two opponents. They beat North Alabama 77-55 and then beat Wyoming 66-32. I think that they will do the same here. Frank Martin's teams always play excellent defense. This year is no exception. The Gamecocks are holding opponents to just 43.5 points per game and allowing just 24 percent shooting. USC is holding its opponents to just 15.8 percent shooting from the 3-point line. Cleveland State lost its first game of the season 85-50 against Minnesota on the road. I see a similar score here. Cleveland State is just 2-6 ATS in its last eight road games, and South Carolina is on a 4-1 ATS run overall. I have this game as 78-51 for the home team, and this should be another blowout for the Gamecocks. Take Boise State (-3) over UC-Irvine (9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 15)

It surely wasn't the opening week that I wanted in college basketball, but I rang up +1,700 from Saturday-Monday and I feel like I have the ship pointed in the right direction. I have dominated early season college hoops throughout my gambling career, posting over +63,000 in profit over the last 13 years. I look forward to doing it again this weekend. When last we saw Boise State they were getting slapped around by Oregon. I think that they will rebound here in Boise. The Broncos always have a nice home court edge. And after losing by 31 to the Ducks, I think that they will be ready to play in this one. UC-Irvine is a nice team and a great program. But they got lucky in a win over a bad San Diego team and then they completely choked away a win at Pepperdine, blowing a 73-64 lead with under three minutes left and taking a 77-73 loss. That one may linger. Boise has four of five starters back from last year's disappointing squad. I am expecting them to bounce back, not just from the Oregon loss but from last year's debacle. I don't expect UC-Irvine to be as strong as last year's 31-win squad. They lost four of five starters, including Max Hazzard. They are still solid. And either they or Northridge will end up winning the Big West. But I don't think that this Anteaters club is going to go on the road and beat a motivated Mountain West club here. Take Wisconsin (-14.5) over Nebraska (Noon, Saturday, Nov. 16)

The Huskers are a dumpster fire, and even off a bye week cannot change the fact they are just deplorable on defense. The other factor for Nebraska is the highly-touted Adrian Martinez at QB has not lived up to anywhere near expectations this season, as he is a human turnover machine and makes bad decisions. Nebraska has also been a train wreck when it comes to penalties and special teams blunders as well this season, usually at very crucial moments in games. Wisconsin is a battle-tested team, and one could argue laying 2 TDs on the road is a tall chore to a team who beat Illinois while Illinois beat Wisconsin. Well, Nebraska cannot stop the run or a physical team, (look no further that the Minnesota game film). And in the Huskers last 3 games, they have given up 34 ppg and 451 yards per game, to lesser opponents than the Badgers. Expect Wisconsin to have 250+ on the ground minimum in this one and for the Badgers by 3 TDs + here in Lincoln. Bear in mind Nebraska is one of the worst ATS teams in football with just 1 ATS cover this season. Take 'Over' 67.5 Oklahoma at Baylor (7:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16)

Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet when the Oklahoma Sooners hit the road to take on the Baylor Bears at McLane Stadium in Waco, TX on Saturday night. Oklahoma has posted a perfect 6-0 record to the over in their last six games played in the month of November, and they are 14-6 to the over in their last 20 games following a straight up win. They have also gone up and over the total in 19 of their last 26 games off a game where they scored 40 points or more, and they are an impressive 38-17-1 ATS in their last 56 Big 12 games. Baylor has been an over team as well in the spot they are in here on Saturday as they have gone over the number in four of their last five games following a game where they failed to rush for at least 100 yards, and they are a lights out 20-8 to the over in their last 28 at home where they faced a team with a winning record on the road. Throw in the fact that these two teams have gone 5-1 to the over in their last six head-to-head meetings at McLane, and that's where we'll have our play as we expect both teams to move the ball a bit in Waco on Saturday night. We take a lot of pride in our Newsletter Free Picks and here we are as we are on a 42-25 run over the course of 1 Year and a 11-4 run recently. Let's look to keep rolling here. We are rolling with the under in this one. I think this total is set low for a reason, and we'll likely see this one go up as the public is on the over so it makes for a great public fade. California has struggled on offense this season, averaging just 19 points per game overall. However, heading into last week's game against Washington, they were averaging just 13.66 points per game in their last 3. They have not been able to consistently put together back-to-back games high offense. Last week they managed to put up 35 against Washington, so they likely have a let down here. California is 2-7 O/U on the season. Their defense has shown the ability to shut teams down as they held Oregon State to 21 points, Oregon to 17 points, and ASU to 24 points. I think their defense steps up here in this Pac 12 matchup and this one goes under. Under is 14-3 in Golden Bears last 17 conference games. Take 'Under' 51 Detroit at Dallas (1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 17)

Matthew Stafford was a late scratch for Detroit. And while backup quarterback Jeff Driskell did not play poorly, he still delivered the kind of results one would expect from a second-stringer in the loss to Chicago. If you watched the Lions loss at Chicago, it was rather evident if Stafford played, the Lions could have won the game outright. Though Stafford could play this week, based on reports, that seems unlikely, which will again keep Detroit's point total down. Both Dallas and Detroit are 6-3 Over this season, but for this NFC matchup, going contrarian as home teams like the Lions off a road loss against a division rival, who are winning only 25% to 40% of the time, playing a team with a winning record in the second half of the season, are 23-3 UNDER the last nine years. This pick falls into one my top NFL systems, and Buffalo is hands-down the superior team in this matchup here Sunday. Miami has back-to-back wins under their belt thanks to turnovers. However, this Buffalo team does not turn the ball over very often with just 2 turnovers in their last 5 games. Miami, on the other hand, has 10 turnovers in their last 5 games, and they have averaged just 12.4 points per game at home this season. Miami has averaged just 240 yards per game at home this season with opponents averaging 33.4 points per game against them and 409.2 yards per game against them at home this season. Miami has converted just 31% on 3rd downs at home this season, with opponents converting 46.7% against them on 3rd downs at home this season. Miami has completed just 58% of their passes at home this season, and they have run for just 54 yards per game at home this season. Buffalo has allowed just 14 points per game on the road this season, and I expect their defense to step up big time against a really bad Dolphins offense. This is a big bounce back game for Buffalo, and I expect them to have a dominant win here Sunday. I did give you Cleveland as a free pick last week, but now we will take Buffalo ATS over Miami as they are definitely the better team here.
