2025 AFC Division Winner Odds and Best Bets

Even with the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC, the return of Christian McCaffrey, Dak Prescott, and Aidan Hutchinson to their respective teams, and the Ben Johnson/Caleb Williams era in the Windy City, I still have the AFC as the far more intriguing conference for the 2025 season.
This could be the first year we see a new AFC West champ in a decade, since the Peyton Manning-led and eventual Super Bowl 50 champion Denver Broncos did it in 2015. It could very well be the Broncos again to upset KC as head coach Sean Payton has another year with the progressively impressive Bo Nix under center. The Chiefs are currently sitting around even money at (-115) to win the West, with Denver and the LA Chargers both with 3-1 odds.
Aaron Rodgers makes his debut in the rough and tough AFC North for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Things couldn’t go much worse than they did in New York, or could they? The man will be 42 years old by season’s end.
The Baltimore Ravens are yet again favored to win the division and priced affordably at (-160). If the Bengals can get a few more stops on defense, though, we might be sweating our bet down the stretch when Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase play catch in the backyard.
Our best bet, though, might be in the AFC South on the favorites to win the division, the Houston Texans. Quarterback C.J. Stroud has gotten his sophomore slump out of the way now. If he’s going to live up to the expectations he set in his rookie season, the man will need to win more road games.
As far as the division is concerned, though, I don’t see Anthony Richardson and the Indianapolis Colts challenging such a strong Texan defense over the course of the season.
There are warranted rumors of a resurgence in Jacksonville. They have a new head coach in Liam Coen, who was the offensive coordinator in Tampa last year for their division title run.

I'm all for having a chip on your shoulder, but what good is that if you got your headdress blown clean off in one of the biggest Super Bowl beatdowns in history? Even during the regular season, Patrick Mahomes looked awfully human out there.
One thing I’m proud of is never once calling him the GOAT or even future GOAT. He is a 4th quarter cheat code and one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, but dare I say overrated…
I give the LA Chargers just as much of a chance to win the division as KC, so the play at 3x your money is a no-brainer. That is, unless you like Denver.
While Payton is a great coach, so is Jim Harbaugh. Also, Justin Herbert is a more complete quarterback than Nix probably ever will be, and LA has a defense to match Denver’s.
Houston Texans: +105
I wanted to give you guys a hot take with the Jags in this spot, but I can’t bring myself to do it. They won all of four games last season and just one, yes one game on the road. Maybe take Jacksonville to go over their win total, but that’s it.
We mentioned Stroud already, and even his struggles on the road. He isn’t that bad away from his dome, though, at 8-8 over his first two years in the league. The Texans don’t even need him to shine, though. They win with defense first.
Baltimore Ravens: -150
I tried my best to get behind a bet on the Bengals to win the AFC North, but I couldn't do it. Did they lose a lot of close games last year? Did they get off to a slow start due to rust and a style of coaching that has already changed early in this preseason? Will they be better on defense?
The answer to all of those questions is yes. However, we don’t expect the Baltimore Ravens to regress. If you want to take Cincy to go over their win total or even better to grab Burrow to win the MVP, by all means, go ahead.
The Baltimore Ravens falter in the playoffs, and this is not a postseason bet. They were a top 3 team on both offense and defense last year in the league. They return their head coach and both coordinators. This price of (-150) may seem chalky, but it's probably the best number you'll see on Baltimore as we make our way through the regular season.
