2025 NFC Division Winner Odds and Best Bets

With the 2025 NFL regular season rapidly approaching, I wanted us to tackle the betting odds to win each of the four divisions in the NFC. You'll be surprised to see how affordable some of the favorites are, as well as some of the surprisingly high potential payouts we could have with teams like the Arizona Cardinals, for example.
It's always a challenge balancing the expectations we had for a team's performance, the actual outcome of the season, what to expect this year, and what happens on the field. That's four things, right there. So, it's more mental juggling than a balancing act.
I guess I just answered my own question as to why some of these betting odds look so good on paper.
Either way, NFL Division Futures are a lot of fun! We could double down later in the year, or have an opportunity to hedge our bets. Either way, it's not the time to contribute a significant portion of our bankrolls on a bet because the end of the regular season is still more than 5 months of human car accidents away.
We will have at least one significant injury this preseason and many more as the 18 weeks of the regular season play out. Let’s tread lightly, for the most part. However, I do have some super sexy spots for us to bet a unit or two.
Let’s set the scene for the NFC’s four divisions, lining up a few best bets to win them.
Doc’s Sports offers NFL expert picks for every game on our NFL predictions page.
Betting Odds to Win the NFC West
This isn't the safest division to pick a winner, especially if we're only getting slightly more than 1.5x our money in return. The Niners could run away with it or fall short of expectations once again.
San Francisco 49ers: +155
Los Angeles Rams: +175
Seattle Seahawks: +450
Arizona Cardinals: +500
Betting Odds to Win the NFC North
The biggest question coming out of Detroit is how well the offense will work without outgoing offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. It isn’t like Dan Campbell is a mastermind. Quarterback Jared Goff described the new OC situation with the incoming John Morton as a “Fun challenge”.
Detroit Lions: +145
Green Bay Packers: +250
Minnesota Vikings: +325
Chicago Bears: +475
Betting Odds to Win the NFC East
Here's the head-scratcher for me. Even though the Philadelphia Eagles are the only true betting favorite, if you will, sitting at (-145) to win the division, I thought their odds would be more in the (-200) range to win the NFC East.
Philadelphia Eagles: -145
Washington Commanders: +215
Dallas Cowboys: +550
New York Giants: +2500
Betting Odds to Win the NFC South
Lastly, we have the NFC South to talk about. Many expect the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to repeat as division champs. Baker Mayfield is now a proven veteran under center. The team showed heart and determination through some critical injuries down the stretch last year. So, it will be difficult to deny them in 2025.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: +100
Atlanta Falcons: +225
Carolina Panthers: +400
New Orleans Saints: +1400
NFC Division Futures Best Bets
Philadelphia Eagles: -145
Whether we work backwards through the process of elimination or simply take the best team on paper, the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles are the easy pick to win the NFC East.
This was one of the best Super Bowl teams of all time, and they're more or less still intact. Usually, when we see a drop-off the year after winning the big game, it's because that team has a bunch of older vets. That isn't the case in Philly. The Birds are still loaded, and we have a potential dynasty in the making on our hands.
This number will soon be out of reach, so play it now as our #1 NFC division futures best bet.
Green Bay Packers: +250
Next, we have the Pack. This team has been on the verge of being a true contender for years now. Injuries and or the Eagles have gotten in the way up until now, and while I expect the NFC North to be the most competitive division yet again in the NFL, Green Bay is a better team top to bottom than the Lions.
Jared Goff is only as good as the pieces around him, and they lost the most critical piece of their pie when former OC Johnson shot down to Chicago. I'm quite high on the Bears as well this year, but I believe in the offensive genius of head coach Matt Lafleur as well.
Atlanta Falcons: +225
I was temporarily tempted to throw the Carolina Panthers in there as Bryce Young's star appears to be ascending fast. One look at their points allowed (534) in 2024, and I was quickly brought back to earth.
As for the favorites down in T-Town, I'm not against the pick. I just like the betting value a lot more for the Falcons.
What can I say? I’m a believer in the Big Penix energy coming out of the ATL. Michael Penix Jr. could be the league’s next big star. The Falcons are a better team all around than Tampa, especially on the offensive line.
If the Kirk Cousins era wasn’t such a train wreck, they could have beaten out the Bucs for the NFC South Division title in 2024.
