There is no way in hell that Miami is going to win six games this year. None. Zip. They are blatantly tanking, and they are not even attempting to be competitive. They were one of the worst teams that I watched this preseason, and that was before they traded away three starters over the weekend. They are starting two rookies on the offensive line and two more rookies on the defensive line. They don't have a quarterback; we know who Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh Rosen are. The running back situation is jumbled. Their linebacking corps features someone called Sam Eguavoen. Miami also has a rookie head coach in Brian Flores. The Bill Belichick coaching tree has been one dud after another, and Flores looks like the latest. Miami has been stockpiling draft picks, and they look like they are embracing the Cleveland Browns method of blatant tanking in the hopes of coming out better on the other side. There is a realistic chance that this team will go 0-16. They open with the Ravens, Patriots, Cowboys and Chargers, four stacked teams. They do host the Redskins, Jets, Bills and Bengals, and they have a road game against the rebuilding Giants. That's it. They have only five games that they have a realistic chance of winning. How many of them do you realistically expect this group to win? Two? And maybe they steal one shocking upset? For this bet to lose the Fins would have to go 6-10! Take #336 Wisconsin (-35) over Central Michigan (3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7)

Have no idea how good or bad South Florida will ultimately be, but off of the eyeball test of the contenders to win the Big Ten West, with Wisconsin bullying the Bulls 49-0 last Friday, they became the frontrunners. This was being discussed on the Fox Sports college football show Saturday, which means I am not the only one to notice, and it's impossible to think the opening line on the Badgers will possibly hold up until Saturday when Central Michigan visits Camp Randall (already up two points from Sunday release). Coming off last season's 8-5 record, Wisconsin has something to prove. And with two weeks until Michigan and a bye next week, no reason we don't see a complete effort from them. The Chippewas will improve under former Alabama assistant and Florida head coach Jim McElwain, but it won't be this week as they are 4-15 ATS after registering 24 or more first downs and having the ball for 34 or more minutes. Take #462 Tampa Bay 'Pk' over San Francisco (4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8)

I am not a big fan of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. He got hurt early last year and missed nearly the entire 2018 NFL campaign. Garoppolo has struggled at times this summer getting ready for the upcoming season, and there's been numerous reports coming out of San Francisco that he's not at the levels he was at before his injury. The 49ers had one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL last year, and they go into Tampa Bay for this season-opening game to face a Bucs team under 1st year head coach Bruce Arians, who is expected to throw the football a lot in this one. Another big factor in this one is the expected Florida heat as game time temperatures are expected to be around 90 degrees with high humidity, which is likely going to be difficult for a 49ers team that doesn't usually have to deal with this kind of weather. Opponents have hit just .195 against Gray in 9 day game starts this season over 46.1 innings, and I expect a solid start from him here Thursday. Gray has an ERA of just 1.62 in 10 starts since the All-Star break, with opponents hitting just .166 against him, and this is just the 2nd time Philadelphia has faced Gray this season. Cincinnati has hit .282 as a team lifetime against Vargas with an on-base percentage of .333, and he has struggled on the road with an ERA of 5.23 this season.
