This time of year isn't too early to begin looking ahead at the actual NFL season. As most fans are actually looking ahead to next year from the moment the Super Bowl wraps up, or at least when the draft is held, now is actually the perfect time to start plotting the future. There are already plenty of odds and betting lines available, too. Here are some of the top NFL future bets to be made as we all count down the dog days of summer until the 2015 NFL season is upon us.

2016 Super Bowl 50 Odds to Win

Betting on the eventual Super Bowl winner is a great way to get fantastic value. At the start of the season, and picking from amidst all 32 teams, the odds are wonderful, even for the top teams you figure will be in the mix.

Taking a look at the early Super Bowl 50 odds to win, and the Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts are all at +600. The New England Patriots are +850. Then there are teams like the Denver Broncos at +1,200, Dallas Cowboys at +1,400, Baltimore Ravens at +1,800 and Philadelphia Eagles at +2,600.

Some of these lines are based purely on fanaticism or headlines. So, a preseason flier on the likes of Dallas or Philly seems like a waste, even if those are two teams who figure to be in the postseason mix. It's exceedingly difficult to repeat in the NFL these days, so the Patriots could be a risk there.

Could Seattle make it to a third straight Super Bowl? Will Andrew Luck have a breakout, Super Bowl-winning campaign? Will Peyton Manning ride off into the sunset? Each of those NFL future bets for the season could make sense depending on how you think those questions could be answered.

Offensive Rookie of the Year

Another great NFL futures bet for the season and one that will cause plenty of debate is the race for the offensive rookie of the year. You have the two big-name quarterbacks, Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota, along with projected phenom running back Todd Gurley, wide receivers like Amari Cooper and Kevin White, and plenty of others. Winston is the odds-on favorite at +500, Mariota is at +800, Gurley and Cooper are at +700, and White is at +1200.

The big question here is how healthy Gurley will be at the start of the year. If he's ready to go early on, then ride with Gurley, as the young QBs struggle to adjust to the pro game with bad teams around them.

Division Winners

Another NFL futures bet available for the season is the winner of each of the divisions. Some of these may be more appealing than others. One of the best places to look is where there's one clear favorite to win the division, with good values on other teams lying in their wake.

For instance, in the AFC East, the Patriots are -210, while the rejuvenated Buffalo Bills are +475 and the underrated Miami Dolphins are at +400. Tom Brady is dealing with that upcoming suspension, which figures to be reduced but could still cost him two games. Is this the year then that the Patriots fall off the top of the pack in the AFC East? There are some good values on either of those two teams.

With NFL future bets, it's all about hedging all of that uncertainty with some of the really strong values which are out there to be had. Look in the right place and make the right move, and it could be easy to capitalize on a huge payoff for what could look like easy money by midseason.
