NFL Draft Predictions: Team-by-Team Position Players with Odds

The NFL Draft kicks off Thursday night, as teams look to add the next round of talent out of the college ranks. The Tennessee Titans have confirmed that they will be drafting Cam Ward with the first overall selection with the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants likely taking Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter to get things going. There are 29 other teams making first round selections, barring any trades. Some teams like the Kansas City Chiefs have one glaring need that they will address with their top selection while teams like the Chicago Bears are looking at a wide array of position groups. Needless to say, Thursday night will be full of surprises with trades and surprise picks. Before we kick things off on Thursday, let’s go team by team and see which way their war rooms will lean when they are on the clock.

***The Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and the New York Giants do not have position props out.
Arizona Cardinals – 16th Pick
By the middle pick in the first round, it is likely that we will see just two wide receivers off the board which will workout perfectly for Arizona with Matthew Golden available. Adding Golden would open up this offense incredibly and he would form an elite duo with Marvin Harrison Jr. However, Arizona also had one of the weakest pass rushing win rates in the league last season so expect an edge rusher to be in play here. If Jalon Walker were to fall and still be available, Arizona would take him. Despite the need, I think the Cardinals look to build a high-flying offense.
My Pick: Wide Receiver, +950
Atlanta Falcons – 15th Pick
The Falcons selection is one of the more predictable ones in terms of what position group they are targeting. Their defensive line needs help across the board and given the placement of their pick they will be looking to take the top edge rusher available. Expect one of Mike Green, Jihaad Campbell, Mykel Williams, or Shemar Stewart to be taken here.
My Pick: Defensive Lineman, -270
Baltimore Ravens – 27th Pick
If Baltimore stays in the first round, expect their pick to be one of the two top safeties available. Either Nick Emmanwori or Malaki Starks would form a solid tandem in the secondary with Kyle Hamilton. Baltimore could entertain offers and move out of the first round, if these two aren’t available, but don’t be surprised if they also moved up a spot or two to grab either one of these guys.
My Pick: Safety, +600
Buffalo Bills – 30th Pick
Another common theme here so far as the Bills will likely be in the market for the best available defensive player at their pick. Buffalo wins games in the trenches as they ranked 6th in pass rush win rate, 5th in run stop win rate, and 4th in pass blocking win rate. Unless they just love a cornerback, expect the Bills to strengthen their defensive line as there is more value at that position with the 30th pick.
My Pick: Defensive Lineman, -105
Carolina Panthers – 8th Pick
The Panthers will be looking to add a blue-chip prospect to their defense here which will likely be Jalon Walker. If chaos ensues in front of them, Mason Graham could fall to the Panthers pick or the Panthers could end up trading down to add more draft picks, but either way, they will be in the mix for a defensive line boost.
My Pick: Defensive Lineman, -110
Chicago Bears – 10th Pick
Finally, we will move away from the defensive picks. While the Bears don’t have a great defense, they will be all about adding a weapon to Ben Johnson’s offense. There is some chatter that they will move up to snag Ashton Jeanty, but it is much more likely that they will stay where they are and grab Tyler Warren. Tetairoa McMillan and Omarion Hampton are options here, but Warren is too valuable to pass up.
My Pick: Tight End, +240
Cincinnati Bengals – 17th Pick
With Trey Hendrickson likely on his way out, the Bengals will have a huge hole on defense to fill. Whether they focus on immediately replacing Hendrickson on the line or adding another linebacker to sure up the linebacker core will likely come down to who is left at either position by the 17th pick. One of Williams, Green, or Stewart will likely still be available here and one will likely be wearing a Bengals cap. However, linebacker and offensive line are potential wild card spots here. Cincinnati had one of the worst offensive lines in the league last season. Bengals are a wild card team here.
My Pick: Defensive Lineman, -170 ***Wild Card Picks: Offensive Lineman, +900 or Linebacker, +1500
Dallas Cowboys – 12th Pick
A return to offense here, maybe. It is likely that the Cowboys will take their favorite of McMillan or Golden here to pair with CeeDee Lamb. However, keep an eye on Dallas moving back. Dallas lost Demarcus Lawrence via free agency, and they may move back to the middle of the opening round to take a pass rusher. If they stay at 12, they will choose their favorite of the two wide receivers.
My Pick: Wide Receiver, -220
Denver Broncos – 20th Pick
The only way the Broncos don’t pick a running back with the 20th pick is if the Bears or Cowboys snag Hampton. The Broncos obvious need is at running back and Hampton has to be atop their draft board. If Hampton isn’t available, the Broncos will still address the need for skill players on offense. However, Hampton will fall right into their hands when it is their turn to pick.
My Pick: Running Back, -130
Detroit Lions – 28th Pick
The Lions will be adding to the trenches with their first overall selection and likely on the defensive side of the ball. Losing Aidan Hutchinson last season highlighted the need to add another high upside pass rusher. Donovan Ezeiruaku is a name to watch here for Detroit if he is still available, but the Lions won’t be picky about which defensive lineman they add.
My Pick: Defensive Lineman, -190
Green Bay Packers – 23rd Pick
The Packers are in a similar situation to the Bengals in terms of being a wild card here. They had the 26th ranked pass rush last season while also having just the 23rd best run blocking in the league. However, their biggest need may be at cornerback while they could also use a wide receiver to take the offense to an elite level. Given their track record, I expect Green Bay will select an edge rusher here to add to the pass rush as they can find help in the other areas later in the draft.
My Pick: Defensive Lineman, +100
Houston Texans – 25th Pick
The Texans will be taking an offensive lineman here. The offensive line was already an issue and the Texans shipped Laremy Tunsil to Washington which leaves the unit with a lot of question marks. C.J. Stroud needs some more protection from his offensive line in order to reach his potential and keep the Texans in the playoff mix for years to come. Houston may be all about the trenches in this draft and their first selection will indicate that.
My Pick: Offensive Lineman, -250
Indianapolis Colts – 14th Pick
The Colts are in a position with the 14th pick to take the best overall player on either side of the ball. Tight end is a glaring need as they got just two touchdowns from the position group last year. With a significant drop off in the tight end class after Warren and Colston Loveland, expect the Colts to take whichever of the two are available at 14.
My Pick: Tight End, -105
Jacksonville Jaguars – 5th Pick
The Jaguars could start the chaos here if they decide to draft Ashton Jeanty with the fifth pick or decide to trade with someone who wants to jump ahead of Las Vegas to grab the elite running back prospect. However, Mason Graham is a great pick here for the Jaguars if they stay in the fifth spot. The Jaguars ranked dead last in pass rush and 27th in run stopping ability. They need power in the middle of the defensive line and Graham gives them just that.
My Pick: Defensive Lineman, +140
Kansas City Chiefs – 31st Pick
Like Houston, the obvious need is on the offensive line. The Eagles exploited this offensive line group on the biggest stage last season in the Super Bowl and the Chiefs need to address it here if they want keep Patrick Mahomes healthy.
My Pick: Offensive Lineman, -145
Los Angeles Chargers – 22nd Pick
The Chargers need to find Justin Herbert another weapon in the passing game. Though they need a tight end, a wide receiver seems to be the way to go as both Warren and Loveland will likely be off the board here, unless the Chargers trade up. Joey Bosa is gone and the Chargers are in desperate need of a disruptor off the edge, but I think they will lean wide receiver here and snag Emeka Egbuka or Luther Burden III.
My Pick: Wide Receiver, +490
Los Angeles Rams – 26th Pick
The Rams are also in the market for a wide receiver with Cooper Kupp now on the Seattle Seahawks. However, the Rams may wait until Day Two to address the wide receiver depth behind Puka Nacua. They could also be a potential suitor for Jaxson Dart if he is still available here. However, their biggest need is the cornerback position and there will be a lot to pick from in the later part of the first round.
My Pick: Cornerback, +260
Las Vegas Raiders – 6th Pick
If someone jumps ahead of the Raiders and takes Jeanty, Las Vegas may trade back and either grab a talented wide receiver or put themselves in a position to snag Shedeur Sanders. However, if Jeanty is still available the Raiders won’t hesitate to get the pick in.
My Pick: Running Back, +110
Miami Dolphins – 13th Pick
Jalen Ramsey may be on his way out the door which would leave a huge hole at the cornerback position for the Dolphins. Jahdae Barron or Will Johnson, if he is still available, would be on the Dolphins big board. The offensive line could use some help, but taking one of the top two cornerbacks provides a lot more value here.
My Pick: Cornerback, +180
Minnesota Vikings – 24th Pick
Minnesota may trade out of the first round here in order to add to their four draft picks which is the lowest amount in the league. They need help in the secondary, but unless they are dead set on one guy in particular who remains available, the Vikings will likely trade down and add to their draft capital. Either way it will be a cornerback or safety for Minnesota.
My Pick: Cornerback, +180
New England Patriots – 4th Pick
Assuming the top three picks read Ward, Hunter, and Carter, then the Patriots will waste no time on getting Will Campbell’s name called with the fourth pick. If Hunter or Carter are available, expect the Patriots to pick either of them. Neither player should reach the fourth pick, and the Patriots need to reinforce the line for Drake Maye.
My Pick: Offensive Lineman, -1000
New Orleans Saints – 9th Pick
Should Sanders remain available when it’s the Saints turn, he will likely be headed to New Orleans. If he isn’t available, the Saints could take a risk on drafting Dart with the ninth pick or they could trade back. However, the Saints will end Sanders’ fall here and take him with the ninth pick.
My Pick: Quarterback, +360
New York Jets – 7th Pick
The Jets need to protect Justin Fields. They added Olu Fashanu last year with their first-round pick and they will likely take Armand Membou with the seventh pick here. The Jets ranked 23rd in pass protection and 29th in run blocking last season, Membou will immediately boost those numbes.
My Pick: Offensive Lineman, -135
Philadelphia Eagles – 32nd Pick
The Eagles will be addressing their defensive line here. Josh Sweat and Milton Williams are gone which leaves the Eagles needing help in an area they dominated last season. Walter Nolen, James Pearce Jr., Kenneth Grant, or Derrick Harmon are all options here.
My Pick: Defensive Lineman, +115
Pittsburgh Steelers – 21st Pick
The Steelers need a quarterback. Unless the Saints jump on Dart with the ninth pick because Sanders came off the board earlier than expected, the Steelers will be looking to draft Dart with the 21st pick. Even if they add Aaron Rodgers, Dart is the long-term option that Pittsburgh needs to bring in.
My Pick: Quarterback, +230
Seattle Seahawks – 18th Pick
Should McMillan or Golden be available here, the Seahawks may be tempted to snag a wide receiver to replace DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. However, they have two second round picks and could end up using both of those on wide outs. They need to bolster the offensive line with their first-round selection.
My Pick: Offensive Lineman, -120
San Francisco 49ers – 11th Pick
It is no secret that the 49ers defense is no longer a dominating group. The 49ers may take the approach of drafting the best defensive prospect available to them with the 11th pick. Will Johnson would be a great fit here or Jalon Walker should he fall out of the Top 10. However, Johnson seems like the most likely option here.
My Pick: Cornerback, +300
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 19th Pick
Tampa Bay will be taking a defensive player with their first selection in the draft. If Emmanwori is available here, I think the Buccaneers will take him and give themselves a tough pair of safeties. Maxwell Hairston and Trey Amos could potentially be in play here, but Emmanwori is a great value pick at 19.
My Pick: Safety, +1200
Washington Commanders – 29th Pick
The Commanders are way ahead of schedule thanks to the performance of Jayden Daniels last season. Now they will be looking to strike gold in the later part of the first round. They will be in the market for an edge rusher who could add to the team’s strength in the trenches. Kenneth Grant would sneakily be a great fit if he is available here, but there is no shortage of defensive line talent in the later part of the first round.
My Pick: Defensive Lineman, +140
